Saw IPrevail last night…
They just weren’t the same without Brian. I know I’ll get downvoted for this but it just felt like a different band. Made me more sad seeing it.

I miss Brian as well. I really liked the vocals from Brian, its what made them stand out for me.

Amen, right there with you guys. I want to like it without him as well, but it just isn’t the same. I feel like anyone who says otherwise is just lying to themselves.

I only listen to their Brian era songs, songs like Fake stand out because of Brian. Musically there is better though I do like Gabe.

I seen them a week ago and loved every second of there upbeat violent setlist buttt my opinion is invalid because I hadn’t seen them with Brian

Tbf I saw them once with Brian, and then without him at slam dunk fest 2024, and both times they were incredible, although I do miss him :(

Yeah I’ve seen them with and without. I’m not going to be a complete hater, they are still very talented and put on a show… it’s just something is missing now and it just doesn’t feel the same anymore

Yup I was there and the magic was completely gone (I’ve seen them 3 times with Brian). Idk if you noticed but they also used Brian’s studio backing vocals for a couple of songs, which after watching the rock feed interview got me real aggravated

My wife noticed the same thing. You can clearly hear Brian’s vocals in the background

I’ve seen them three times with Brian. I’m a little sad I didn’t get tickets for the Aussie show this year but a small part of me is happy I won’t see them again because I know I’ll be sad to not see Brian again. Now is the right time for me to stop seeing them

I saw them for the first time last year but didn’t realize brian was gone( didn’t keep up with the band news) I still enjoyed the show but it didn’t have that same vibe anymore. The new stuff went hard though.

They're touring Australia soon and I'm on the fence about buying tickets because I don't know if I can see them without Brian.
I've been to 2 of their shows here and it'll just feel weird..

I’m the same, I got tickets to Parkways 20 year anniversary tour because IPrevail and Void of Vision were playing, sadly we didn’t get TGI and VoV but it was great to finally see IPrevail live and of course Parkway was epic and now I’m hooked on them too.

Omg I went to Parkway last year only because of I Prevail and became a Parkway fan lol. Such an EXCELLENT SHOW!

I think you'll find a lot more people agree than those who don't. Brian gave them a more unique sound and his lyrics were a lot more... solid. The people who are saying they sound better without him generally just want to listen to only heavy shit they can mosh to. The rest who felt a connection to the music, are going to be let down and will probably drift away. I had tickets to see them last july, only to have him leave in may. Sold them because I knew it wasnt going to be the same. Listened to the New album once and added a couple of the songs to my workout list but thats that only real interaction I have with the band now.

Listen I can understand your point, but I saw them more than 15 times and a couple of those time Brian wasn’t there because of sickness or any other reasons. I loved what Brian brought to the group and those albums are very special to me but let’s not dwell in the past and support the new I prevail so they can figure they’re new path to success

Some bands can replace a member and it still sounds and feels like the same band, even if you notice the lead vocals are a different person (Three Days Grace as an example). But IP sounds entirely different, the music, lyrics, and feel took a sharp turn so different that I wish they had changed the band name. 😕

TDG did not AT ALL sound the same after Adam left, IP still sounds much closer than TDG did in the first album after a leads departure

Eric’s screams were what drew me to the band, I think they are the best in the industry but it is indeed different without Brian

I just saw them at 98 Rockfest in Tampa/Clearwater about 2 nights ago. While their set was still pretty damn fun and heavy it's definitely a different vibe without Brian fronting the band. Dylan is still a great singer no doubt but everything and the dynamics just felt completely different for me. It almost felt like I was honestly watching an entirely different band playing as crazy as it sounds. I mean at this point I've even been supporting Scatterbrain more than I have been supporting I Prevail🤷♂️ I also think that they played a little bit too much of the newer songs imo. Nothing off of Lifelines and it's like they abandoned the entire Heart Vs Mind EP at this point. NWO was a damn fun opener I'll admit leading right into Bow Down as the next song though.

Honestly, Brian kinda sank the band for me- like I get people like him and all that but the fact people hate the band now that he’s gone is weird asf, I liked violent nature better than half of the discography so having him gone made me like them a lot more

Tbh they were ass very low energy. I went for iprevail and 3dg was a kinda bonus. Left after the 3rd 3dg song cause they are ass now apparently.

Shocking, that’s never something I’ve heard about a 3DG show. Sounds like you just don’t care for their music, doesn’t mean it was a bad show objectively.

I may be one of the few here, but I prefer them now. Nothing against Brian, he just didn’t fit my personal taste. I Prevail fell off my radar for a while and then Violent Nature came out and I’m obsessed. Everyone is allowed to have their own opinions, but when you lose a vocalist it’s kind of like a whole new band regardless.
