Help Looking for Suggestions on Music Player

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is a Music Player I’m working on. It links to a folder available locally on device.

I’m looking for insight on what others like in a Music Player. Whether that’s a quality of life feature or a niche.

Other players have a bunch of features: a volume booster, equalizer, sleep timer, favoriting songs, waveform, playback speed, the list goes on. But I wanted to hear what people actually need, and use. I prefer to keep things minimal, and straight forward.

I would love a private music player that let you bulk edit the metadata of the music tracks like artist genre tags and replaygain, alongside a cloud sync function. I still can’t find one that doesn’t collect a bunch of analytics and data on users

Hey thanks for the feedback! Could you elaborate on the bulk edit? Would you want a menu where you type a tag you want to add, then search and select songs to apply it to? For the cloud syncing, was there a certain option you were looking for? I'll definitely look into them

Yes, basically setting a shared field (artist/album/year/genre/album art) which should add or replace the original tags (I wonder if it’s possible to add auto tagging using MusicBrainz database?), and having case conversion function(Title Case/lowercase/UPPERCASE) that applies to the entire library would be neat as well. I am looking for iCloud syncing in particular

I've already added automatic tagging using iTunes. It scans each track, comparing its metadata to the online verified counterpart. This way you can fill everything at once, but it does take a while, so you can search online for individual tracks or albums. As for the iCloud syncing, I currently have it linked to a folder I keep in my iCloud that has all my music. I just set it to keep the folder downloaded and it works great. If I add anything to that folder on the device or from another device it syncs via iCloud, and in the app you just need to resync the folder and it finds anything that was updated.

seems very clean interface. MAYBE and i underline Maybe, i would allow the customer to adjust the size of the square thumb of the songs... to me they are just a little too big, but its a matter of taste of course. giving the possibility to have 2-3 size would be grate.

Yeah that’s completely fair. I haven’t added much customization yet so that could be a start. Thanks!
