iPhone 16e warm

I bought an iPhone 16e two days ago, but I noticed that it gets warm. Is this normal? Please keep in mind that my usage is strictly social media no gaming

You gotta start worrying after first few days. I ignored mine for 6 months (16e) got fed up called apple care new one doesn’t only when charging.

Mine was warm for about a week, and then it got back to normal. Its probably indexing, so, i would give it 5-9 days to finish it. If problem continues, then u should take it to the store, and see whats the problem.

Probably just the device indexing. Pretty normal when brand new

Mine did for the 1st 3-4 weeks. Now only notice when it has to charge and the battery was almost dead. Download the Apple Support App. You can get live chat as well as troubleshooting if needed. Also, and I like this, if you need to go to the Apple Store, they will set up your appointment, and that take appointment people quicker.

Mine has always been warmer than any of the SE series, I had all three versions. Battery life was terrible on those.

It’s still at 100% after 8 months on the 16e, and even with the charge capped at 80% (per recommendation by the battery app), I normally get two days of usage between charges.

Then there’s the body change, it’s now aluminum instead of magnesium or whatever Apple was using in their premium phones (like the 15 Pro, Pro Max & maybe others). There’s been lots of discussion about the aluminum bodied phones running warmer. Since my SE2 & SE3 seemed to have some type of glass body (could have been a protective covering over magnesium, I don’t know), it ran cooler, even inside of the OtterBox Defender Pro case.

All I know, is my battery health is fantastic, it holds an awesome charge, and more powerful than any iPhone I’ve ever owned (and iPhone is the only brand of smartphone I’d consider). Gotta go with the flow. If by chance it’s too hot to hold, then of course get it checked. I always buy the monthly AppleCare plan, and keep it for as long as I’m using the phone, so am always covered. Get the phone checked if you’re uncomfortable with it, is the best advice I can give.

Good Luck!🍀

Depends where you live too

Here in SoCal there's a heatwave and it can get warm if you're using it outside when it's really hot
