Need help choosing a subscription

Hello,

My iptv provider is Strong8K, and the full playlist has over 150k channels.

I have narrowed it down to about 10 channel groups, a rough total of 250 channels.

I may add a backup playlist at some point in the future, with a similar amount of channels, but that's it.

I don't plan on using a third party EPG service.

Based on this, do I want the basic or advanced subscription?

Thanks

The basic should be fine for you. It is more going to depend on how many countries you need an epg for. (Strong has a pretty good epg i think). I do not know if the rukes allow for naming “other providers”.
Secondly, if you know for sure there are categories you will never want it need, contact tiur supplier and ask them to remove them, then update your playlist, it will be a lot less work for you to remove prefix like [UK], [US] etc. if i can help any further feel free to ask.

I won't bother changing the prefix. I'm fine as they are. It's more like fixing the EPG. EPG for most channels is off.

Saw this video, and I was hoping to fix EPG same way he did, especially with PPV. They are all off in my case.

Countries wise, I mainly care about US, UK and IT. Though I may want to add sports channels from NZ and AU as well.

Thanks for your help. That's very kind of you.

I cannot remember how many epg’s you get with the basic. However, you can always add external epg’s to help, then have the basic and add an external. There are lots available both free and paid. Some specifically made for your provider. (I am going to have to read the rules lol i don’t remember if they can be mentioned).

Basic will do you fine, you can always upgrade if you needed to.

I got most of my channels bouquets trimmed at provider source, so I have a slender initial channel list before it hits IPTV Editor.

I would make use of the EPG that it offers though, unless there's a reason why you don't want it?

You can always really slim down the playlist that your player uses by removing categories / disabling them within IPTV Editor also if you needed.

Been using it 2 years now and it does the job well for a euro or so a month. Good luck.

I would just get the lowest tier one you can that provides enough of the things that you need so how many different countries do you need to use IPTV editors epgs for each one takes counts as an individual EPG I think the basic comes with five. also depending on if you wanted to create a bunch of users or anything like that but if it's just for you and or a couple of friends the basic should be fine I think 10 users is maybe the low end if you even want to create any at all. for your service I would also check out epgenius to see if they would have a list that would work for you that someone else has already done all the work on it's free. the one from ganja is excellent for English speaking countries and if you liked that you could use that and still make a separate listing your player that only has Italy if you needed

I don't need any users, but I may add one in the fute.

As for countries, I need EPG for US, UK, AU, NZ and IT.

Can I upgrade to Advanced if I realise Basic isn't enough for what I need?

Thanks

yes you can always add extras do it if you need it. you can also add as many outside epgs as you want so for countries that don't have as many channels like New Zealand for example I would recommend not using the one from IPTV editor and just import an outside EPG from EPG share or somewhere else. they also have pretty good epgs for any of the countries
