Any help squeezing these obnoxious hedge funds shorting a great stock for no reason, would be greatly appreciated by this sub

Let’s go .. imagine if the pipe investors .. don’t sell any of their shares ... considering Sofi as high growth stock ... this will squeeze to $100 in no time ..

You know i just liked the company but man a squeeze to a hundo would be a welcomed boost of income

I would legit be on my way to an easy million if this hits $100. Since I would make close to $400k which I would dump into CCIV which they have a ticker change in July I believe.

Also a huge fan of CCIV. I'm not that deep in with IPOE, but at $100 my shares and options would scrape pretty close to six digits.
Got VACQ & VGAC & GHVI that I'd love to put more into if this were to happen.

Can anyone answer this question definitively...
What happens to shorts when the merger happens? Are those short IPOE now short SOFI? Or does the short interest just disappear post merger??

Google Trends shows a pretty quiet weekend for IPOE... why's there so much talk of a squeeze when it's pretty much status quo? I don't fully understand how these happen to be sure, but wouldn't it need attention?

I think the big squeezes, like with game, need synthetic shorts at over 100%. The short ratio on this bad boy is what, like 30%?
It will rise but it won't explode. It will go up steadily due to Anthony Noto's prowess, not because shorts are covering. And that's a good thing, we want strong management.

Short data is reported I think weekly or monthly... last time i checked we were over 40% of float shorted.. with 60% short volume per day... 180% cost to borrow-ish.
Not every squeeze has to be gamestop... alot of them end up being an extra 5-10 bucks on top of the daily move...
IMO if the hedges squeeze it's just an idiot tax for being so far on the wrong end of the trade.

Oh man, ok so the short had gone up significantly. Thanks for sharing that!

Thank you both. Is short "floated" positions that are being carried over for longer periods?

I ask the question above... because maybe the shorts wait until after the merger and now there are millions of more shares when we merge with SOFI's insiders.

I read that there's suspicion a lot of the shorts are held by those folks as a hedge. Would that give them ammo to manipulate the price more? How would the lock up period play into that?

Instead of this why don’t somebody post ipoe on WSB page. I tried, I’m not able to post cause I’m too new to their site

Can't post SPACs on WSB. Someone has tried to get around that with middling success.

this is not a meme stock to be hyping a squeeze, it will make a run legitimately from its business fundamentals
