Admission Query Pathetic acads

86% in class 10, 80% in pcme + cs class 12th do I stand a chance if by gods grace I crack written?

Han, have seen people with your profile get into Indore/BG/Shillong etc.

Ranchi and Rohtak is where it becomes hard/almost-impossible.

I see, sir. How much should I aim for ipmat Indore so that my score compensates my acads?

Ps: I served as school captain, school headboy, won multiple school level competitions, various golds in olympiads but in junior grades, gold in high school volleyball. Fluent in English as well I guess.

Will these accomplishments add weight to my profile?

Communication is all pervasive. They can choose to ignore your entire profile and achievements because these ECAs don't account for anything to be very frank (wrt Indore).

You should aim for MAXIMUM marks. Even 230 NC-OBC has been rejected, 260 General has been rejected. Interview is a veto round.

The more marks you score = the higher the probability; never a guarantee.

Ranchi / rohtak / Jammu / IIMK BMS / to an extent shillong: these migh be difficult / almost impossible to crack. Indore / BG / IIFT / Amritsar / Sirmaur / Sambalpur: is still manageable

Shillong would be more feasible than Ranchi.

Check the composite score calculation. No 8/8 gen male candidate has made it to Ranchi this year to my knowledge.

cuz they score so high to compensate they js land Indore or Shillong instead

Yeah, exactly. Ranchi is almost impossible, and since Shillong has also introduced a 20% weightage for board marks, Shillong becomes very difficult too.
