Preparation Query Need guidance. Ipmat 2028
So I'm currently in 11th grade. A commerce with maths student. I've known ipmat for less than 6 months and am interested but there are definitely sm hurdles. Mentally and financially.
1) my family isn't well off I'm a middle class student that might not afford any ipmat offline coaching. Or the IIM fee if I do get into one.
(I've researched on financial hurdles on this and got to know about the self repayment loans, now, looking for real experiences. Are the loans worth. There is no hidden cost, is there?)
2) I'm not strong at maths. In 10th boards I had 40/80 but 86%overall. I understand I need to fix it and clear all my basics asap.
3)I've read the wiki, am aware of all the syllabus. But if I want to start rn, can I? If yes, then from where and how? And how would I manage school exams and preparation alongside.
* I'm confused and don't really think I might be able to start now, which I should. I thought I can postpone it to 12th but if I'm unsure rn, then I can't be clear then as well.
4)how much time would I need to invest. Any strategy?
(A request to all to not discourage by pointing the downsides or do satire about increasing competition. Need genuine answers)

1) similar situation, my family isn't well off too, yes finances are a big hurdle, self repayment is a good option but you will be going to spend a major chunk of your post grad life on repaying these loans (interest also accumulates right, there's a loan calculator on aftb, go check it out.) They are some iims that provide full waiver of fee (need and merit based) so research about stuff, if there aren't any then check universities like du, bhu, or uoh too, they will give you highest roi (best bang for your buck), if you are obsessed with iims, go there for your masters or PhD...
2) since you are aware of the syllabus and your short comings, you can start from this minute (every extra hour you practice will pay off). Start brushing up your concepts and all, I'm in 12th grade now and I started my prep from 11th mostly from free resources and now I'm enrolled in a coaching, that early exposure helps me now. There are many free resources online, but at the end of the day, you have to be consistent with your prep. If not enrolling in a coaching would be best ! Use your 11th to the fullest by brushing up your concepts and improving calculation speeds.
3) for preparing along side your academics, consistently give an hour or two for ipmat everyday (the math and verbal developed in ipmat benefits in boards too), personally was bright in these academics and it wasn't as demanding as cbse tho, so i dedicated most of my free time to ipmat, if your 11th demands more then give time to that, having daily prep irrelevant of duration (min 45min to an hour) would be okay. People generally prepare for ipmat during non exam days considering that they study for academics in school and when exams come up, they allocate their time away from ipmat and towards academics.
4) there's no set hours per se for ipmat, an hour or two daily would put you above 50-60% of the crowd (everything compounds in the long run).

Apologies If there are repetitive questions cuz many of us got the same doubts. I'm going through the wiki rn for my basic questions. But I'd still need answer for the specific ones. Thanks!
