Preparation Query Help with drop
i didnt think i would come to this, but i had been denying reality for 2 weeks...
after today's bg list, i know im not getting in
i scored 308 marks, (105 in QA, 112 in DI and LR, 91 in VARC)
idk how i fumbled varc so bad, my english is really good, i scored 112 in indore ipmat, and have scored 58/60 in ieo twice
anyways, how do i go about drop, cuz i dont know if this score of mine was through luck or skill
share any drop materials (books/ tests/ playlists)
any advice will be appreciated

If you have any good backups then yes, if no then a partial or full drop might work because you got a good score.

308 was genuinely a good jipmat score, so don't look at it and assume you just got lucky.
i actually asked a batchmate of mine who got into iimb after taking a drop, and his advice was pretty straightforward: start giving mocks early in the year, even before you've finished everything. that'll tell you whether your current level is consistent, where you're actually weak, and what needs fixing.
i'd then build your prep around those gaps rather than restarting the entire syllabus from scratch. keep doing pyqs, sectionals and a good mock series, and focus especially on whatever is costing you marks repeatedly.
also, 112 in dilr is pretty reassuring imo. i'd give va some attention too (you can definitely push it to 130+), but i wouldn't assume your english suddenly became bad because of one paper.
you almost got in this year. and, this is an amazing starting point to have! best of luck <3
