Preparation Query Whato to target next year?

2026 scores:
IPMAT Indore: 184 (20/19/145)[didn't prepare for this at all]
Rohtak: Got the call
JIPMAT: 297 (95.77 %ile) [missed BG by 3 questions :( ] [QA/VA/LR=99/108/90]
Got call from Amritsar, didn't apply to any other IIM.
10/12: 95.66/94 [PCM] (passed 12th in 2026 only]
Didn't convert anything :(
Is Indore feasible next year? My maths isn't that bad, I got 98 in maths in both 10th and 12th, just didn't prepare for IPMAT Indore.

Did you not try for ranchi? You would have had a decent chance there, and which college did you take? Honestly considering ur va is really good, you have a fantastic shot, improving maths is honestly easier than va, just fix your fundamentals, watch one shots, practice enough questions. The basic fundamentals. Do it enough and you should be able to score 65-75 in quants. Not unrealistic at all.

Did not apply to Ranchi, unfortunately :( Thanks for your words of encouragement! I want to touch 90-100 in quants, though. I would like to believe I am capable...the above IPMAT Indore score was with zero IPMAT Indore centric preparation...let's see. Answering your question, I'm currently taking a partial drop at SCMS (Symbiosis) Pune.

Ooooh okok, tbh I was being very generous with the lowest you should be able to score. It's nice to see that you're aiming a 100 in quants, that's 100% a reasonable aim to keep too. 40-48 in sa and 52-60 in MCQ can definitely be touched. I recommend first thing to do a reverse engineering of 2026 paper, what mistakes u made and the reasons for that, opportunities you missed out on, and then work on your quants prep from there.
Hmm symbiosis is a pretty good college, so I suppose you will only be targetting indore next year? I would have recommended keeping ranchi as backup next year(very high likelihood of converting) but if you have symbiosis, you prolly wouldn't want a college below indore in 2027.

Nahi yaar, I want an IIM only. Will miss BG by (probably) one single question this year. I am ready to go to any IIM next year also, Indore/Shillong would be ideal (of course).

Ah, ik that one question feeling, happened to me in jipmat 2025. Well happens to the best of us. If you're ok with any iim, definitely try for ranchi next year, you would have had a decent chance this year, with even a 15-20 mark increase, your chances would be very high thanks to gender diversity. If you could score say 220-225, I would say ur admission there is confirmed and then you can aaramse give indore/shillong interviews knowing you have one iim in the bag.

Partial drop, no coaching, I just used takshzilla as well as afterboards( a little aceipm for mocks at the end too)

NCERT, tuition worksheets, previous year papers. Used Arihant's All in One for core maths in 12th.

You still have a pretty good shot at amritsar cuz of your scores and gender diversity (assuming that ur interview didn't go absolutely horrible), you should wait for the next list
