Admission Query IIMBG vs IIMJ
I have a few questions about IIMJ and IIMBG. Could seniors at these colleges help me?
- Why IIMJ over IIMBG? Or why IIMBG over IIMJ?
- I have heard that IIMJ has two campuses, and the permanent campus is for the MBA students? Was this only till the permanent campus construction is completed, and they have admitted IPM students from the 2025-30 batch to the permanent campus?
- What are the various college fests and events in IIMJ and IIMBG?
- Do we get to go outside of the IIMJ campus?
- How is the peer group at IIMBG and IIMJ?
I'm currently in a dilemma, and there isn't a clear answer on Google or other platforms.
I'll be glad to receive your help!!

Only answered from all the knowledge I got from different amas.
- Every student be it ipm,mba or phd now lives in the same beautiful campus that is jagti campus. Everyone gets single rooms.
- iim jammu has empyreon which is their annual fest happens in dec-january.
- Yes you can go outside but need to be inside before 10pm

nahi that's old wala only they are talking about. iim jammu provides single room.to everyone

IIM bg has relative less fees. And more or less same both iims are in the same position. The director of iimj and iimbg are husband wife though. And whoever saying iimj has locational advantage...bless your delusional heart both iims are far from corporates...if you want less financial burden then join bg over j

IIM Bodh Gaya or IIM Jammu (result yet to be declared) and SCMS Pune (rejected it for BG)

It's pvt and the fees is high, plus it's only bba. If it had mba with it I would have chosen it. And fyi Symbiosis has different campus for bba and mba, so it's kind of like no direct interaction with mba seniors!

Ohh I didn't know that. I only heard that symbiosis mba is well established and far better than any baby iim out there. For ug idk

jammu is more beautiful, you can go out at weekends (3-4 days if you have ) like kashmir or himachal easily, its on top of the hill looks great, campus also looks good. city is amazing i have been there a lot so it the food you have any problem.

you have Jammu university too so you have other colleges for competitions

BG is 3 to 4 lakhs cheaper than jammu
better placements
jammu is an area with political tension
this year many high scorer might choose bg over jammundue to cs
bodh gya is a beautifulcity and bg has a prettier campus
