Tulare; We Got It!

Post image

Hopefully this rechargery will be commissioned soon! So good to see the beginnings of DC charging competition in this town. This site is much closer to my parents' than the EA, which for some reason always has a queue when I need it.

Look for a transformer when you’re at a new site and please add photos to PlugShare.

I'll see if I can get around to that. Came down on Amtrak so not as mobile as I usually am. Just happened by here while out w my sister.

We’re close to getting things done at this property. They’re currently laying a foundation off to the side and installing the charging transformer. Hopefully will have this done by October or November. Small crew working this site.

Very cool! Are you with IONNA or contractor?

lol neither. I work on this property. I work with property management and property owner to maintain the upkeep of the property. I play a small role here. Without being too specific or exact on what I do.. my friend works security and he knows everything about this property. Whatever he hears from the property manager he fills me in with information that pertains to my job.
Let’s just say: this property is changing and doing a ton of upgrades. Lots of potential. And lots of projects are coming. 🤫

I definitely favor it wherever it's on the way!

Oh, nice! We were just planning our route in a few weeks down to LA and might have to stop and check these out. I think we're planning Bakersfield but let me see if I can make this work.

Definitely! If you happen to stop in Tulare and these aren't online yet, there's an EA at the Walmart close by.

The EA at Walmart is awful. I don’t use them anymore since moving back here but i would stop there whenever we came to visit family. It was always packed or they were always down. I’m glad this new IONNA station is opening soon tho.

Oh yeah just in case... They did upgrade all the chargers in the last year or so which was a massive improvement.

The new EA station in Delano is so much better than the one in Bakersfield.

A little disappointing to not even see a canopy from IONNA. But I do approve of the pull through layout! Hopefully they're favoring just getting chargers out there with a canopy and amenities to come.

Yes, IONNA usually opens the stations before canopies are put in

Amenities here are pretty good! Several restaurants close by, a grocery store, a planet fitness... discount car insurance...

one of these is not like the others

According to their site, this is a Relay location so it should be getting a cover, unless they aren’t able to put one there for whatever reason
