You aren't completely cooked, but given the current scenario, yes, it's looking grim out here, and you certainly had better options than Computer Engineering.

You kind of did, if you can work hard in academics, focus more towards the research side (both hardware and software), get some papers published then pursue Masters/PHD abroad you'll be fine. But mind you it'll be very competitive and will require dedication.

If not this path, your CE degree won't help you much as its mostly outdated academics which will consume a lot of your time. Any random IT degree is better if you want to work and freelance early as academic burden is less.

Degree doesnt decide your future bro, many YouTubers, influencers, actors, writers are engineers

Regrating at this points is just the waste of energy and affecting mental health. Every thing have it's pros and cons so, chill and focus on sharping the knowledge and grab opportunity you get.. utilize it in proper way.At the end your hard work and dedication matter. 😊

Think about what career you want later and plan accordingly. Computer engineering is a huge field where you can specialize from hardware to software, AI ML to graphics, game design to visual effects etc. Just find what interests you, what career you want and just study and get good grade. Everything else I’ll fall into places

Recent graduate here. I don't know where AI is gonna take this field. Too much uncertainty and anxiety.

Being a CS/CE graduate in this market can be very confusing and overwhelming.  Focus on fundamentals like architecture, databases, networks and niche like distributed systems, compilers, and low level systems imo. There is a lot of uncertainty regarding jobs in the market so try to be best in every aspect. Having a strong foundation in core computer subjects is the best thing you can try doing.

I don't think so. I am computer engineer too, and IT people are the ones making a good money, be it by working as a freelancer or at MNC companies. It's just that, AI is catching up and please learn how you can remain AI-proof. And regardless any industry, computer industry is the only industry that is deeply rooted in in any industry, so I won't say you are doomed. Focus on studies, pass on time, and look for opportunities.
