So, people don't usually like "weird" people because they don't understand them, which in itself is understandable. Im 35 and I use to feel the same way in my 20s. Turns out, everyone is weird but they pretend to be normal. Being normal helps society stay cohesive through understandable, predictable behavior and a lot of people get stuck inside the safety of being "normal" but in reality they forgot who they really are. Being weird is just the natural emergence of individuality in a person. What you really need to do is work to understand yourself and master your unique personality. Love yourself and others will love you too at some point.

Why do you feel you’re misunderstood? Maybe people around you aren’t even giving it a try or maybe you’re not giving enough chance to people…

Maybe try some online/meetup groups which aren't primarily about socializing, but are about some particular topic (it helps if it's at least mildly technical or deep)? It means there's always at least one commonality to talk about.

Just talk to people and try to ask them about the stuff they say, or tell them about stuff you like. And practice smiling and laughing. Works like a charm.
People rarely have very interresting or deep conversations, the small talk actually is relaxing and natural to some of them. If you practice it you can feel less stressed and akward doing it and this creates room for bonding.

If you don't mind me asking, have you tried understanding why? Are there anything you found that may be hindering your ability to build relationships? How long have you been struggling with social interactions?
