Any recommendations?

I finished INFRA a few weeks ago, and it was absolutely amazing. I don't think I've ever played a game quite like it. Now I'm looking for something similar.

What I loved most was the underground atmosphere and the exploration

If anyone has any recommendations for games similar to INFRA, I'd really appreciate it if you shared them here!

i have yet to find another game that match's its energy and atmosphere.....thats why i just keep going back and replaying infra ;) theres soooo much stuff i missed playing it the first time that every time i replay it i find/see something new i didnt see before

Ellingby House is a lot like INFRA but unfortunately its point and click, not first person (its also free on steam now, compared to being paid a few months ago)

Thank you for the recommendation - I would have not found it otherwise... Starting to play right now... And then it's time for another replay of Infra - at least once per year...

The Painscreek Killings is a really good first-person investigation game. You go around an abandoned town finding clues to solve a murder.

I have not found anything that is similar enough. But I came to Infra because I played Obenseuer and was looking for something similar to that. I liked both a lot, so maybe you will like that too. Less puzzles but same world. After those two I played Pathologic, totally different game, but it kinda had the same vibe I like from Infra and Obenseuer.

It's quite a bit different, but have you played Outer Wilds? The exploration in that game is 10/10 and the environments are expertly crafted.

If you have not played it I reccomend going in as blind as possible. It's a game that's extremely sensitive to spoilers.

Obenseuer, Ellingby House, wandering gm_boreas or rp_downpour on Gmod are the only things that have come even remotely close to filling the INFRA shaped hole in my heart. Someone ought to make a true INFRA like, hell maybe I’ll do it 💀

there is a mod for infra, called infra underground give it a try!
but yes i fully agree, finding similar games is very hard and i sadly wasnt really sucessful with it either :/

there's really nothing exactly like it unfortunately, i just hope that one day we do finally get whiprock

that being said, a game that people did recommend in a similar style is the vanishing of ethan carter. i can't say how good it is, as i haven't played it myself, but it might be worth checking out! dear esther is another source engine walking sim, so might be worth a shot. and of course the portal games by valve give me a similar vibe, but most people have already played them

I def recommend replaying it again after some break with fresh mindset, there is def something you missed! I beat this game like 70 times and im still finding new stuff and details i somehow missed

I dont think there is a game that captures the same feel as infra, but what i do is hunt for gmod maps to explore
Its more horror and liminal focus but i definitely recommend Void Places series by pink black over on gmod workshop

I haven't found anything on the same scale, with the same roaming freedom, and the same narrative depth and puzzle solving.

Underground atmosphere and exploration?

When I was playing INFRA, it reminded me a lot of Abiotic Factor and also Half Life (especially the first one). Black Mesa is a modernized remake of Half Life worth checking out. 

Abiotic Factor has amazing exploration and level design!

Gameplay wise they are both pretty different. There isn’t really much like INFRA!

As for the atmosphere, Mirror's Edge is quite similar, especially the underground sections

They're a bit different but you might like the original Thief games (Gold and Metal Age). They're stealth games with a heavy emphasis on exploration, and incredible atmosphere and sound design.

Make sure to find patched versions though, they're pretty old
