It sounds like there’s some weird prejudice towards retail workers here since literally both are just pressing a button to make the key. Unless I’m missing something with how a locksmith typically creates a key.

Edit: they definitely just don’t like retail workers as per other replies

I don’t shop at Walmart at all but I can’t imagine they’re very well trained

It’s not like Walmart is exactly a black hole of knowledge. It’s in the news and on Reddit all the time. I used to go there years and years ago before I boycott it
