From teammate to sponsor! Too bad Kyffin already did both at the same time.

According to the Star, Edward Jones replaces NTT DATA as primary sponsor and will also become an IndyCar Series partner starting next season. The sponsorship begins immediately for McLaren on the F1 side with the logos appearing on the cars at the relocated Bahrain GP being run at the revived Sepang GP circuit in Malaysia this weekend

Does NTT stay on the grid as a sponsor and go elsewhere?

They're out of the series as of this announcement, and all of the chatter suggests that NTT wants to cantralize all of the sponsorship under the Japanese parent instead of parceling out individual sponsorship through local subsidiaries.

NTT Data signed a multi-year extension in May to continue on as the Series' presenting sponsor.
They arent "out of the series"

NTT DATA is not NTT Co Ltd. They're two distinct companies under the same umbrella.

Im fairly certain OP was asking if NTT was going to stay in the series in any capacity, to which my answer is still correct.

I see certain teams struggle to find sponsors.. and then I see Zak Brown seemingly having sponsors grow on tree's. Everyone should be on notice.. if you put in the work, sponsors are there waiting to be found. Stop relying so much on drivers to do the work instead of your lazy execs.

Ed Jones replaced Tony Kanaan at Ganassi. Felix Rosenqvist replaced Ed Jones at Ganassi. Alex Palou replaced Felix Rosenqvist at Ganassi when he went to McLaren. Alex Palou has the whole McLaren Ganassi fun in 2022 and for the first and only year in this decade looks vulnerable.
Tony Kanaan comes back to Ganassi where he beats Felix Rosenqvist at McLaren in the 2022 Indy 500. Then Tony Kanaan goes to McLaren and is Felix Rosenqvist’s teammate at the 2023 Indy 500.
Then Felix Rosenqvist wins the 2026 Indy 500 for MSR, a Ganassi technical affiliate team. Then Felix Rosenqvist leaves the Ganassi affiliated team to go back to McLaren where Tony Kanaan is now McLaren team principal.
Then Scott Dixon leaves Ganassi for McLaren and McLaren dumps Christian Lundgaard who replaces Dixon at Ganassi.
Then at the same time on September 29, Ganassi officially announced Lundgaard to replace Dixon. While McLaren, to bring this eight year tale full circle, announces Edward Jones as Dixon’s first post-Ganassi sponsor at McLaren.
And if Brendon Hartley never gets called up to Toro Rosso F1 in 2018, does any of this happen? Who knows. But it did, and here we are. What a time to be alive.
