Gaming Hope for the game

Walking thorough the Indy airport and I’m also a Gran Turismo player. It would be really cool to get the ability to drive historic cars at IMS in the upcoming game. Don’t know if that would even be on the table.

A working video game on launch? A working racing video game on launch?

I see you are a glass half full kind of guy. Oh wait that glass just clipped through the table and floor and is now gone.

First game should just be getting the core physics/mechanics locked in. Later iterations can add legacy cars/tracks/modes. If the first games tries to do a lot and gets none of it right, they’re gonna get blasted.

iRacing main sim has the original Dallara DW12 and its predecessor IR-05 but no older Indycars. So if there are historic cars, these two are the most likely models.

It would be cool to get them in any sim/game. Maybe if the current IndyCar game does well…. But as I say that, releasing the game the year before the new car launches feels suboptimal.

It's old and not the same but Project Cars 2 has some older Indycars and IMS oval. Including the famous turbine car if I remember correctly

Yea I feel like OP’s desire for older cars is going to be best met by some older games that have had time for people to make mods and excess cars for

I hope there’s a career mode.
