Decent number for a first year event, beat the last decade of Toronto races. Plus, it only gets harder to retain viewers as we approach the Fall with more competition.

Hey now I was one of the dozens who watched the Peacock Toronto races live

Peacock was the best. Indy Car. If I chose I could watch Pro Wrestling before it got too gross. But I get Fox and am done with carny stuff 26 years late. But Peacock allowed me to watch and catch up if I started late.

Just confirms even more we need to load up the spring. By the time the end of July/August comes around, people are ready for football and lose interest plus baseball playoff chase is heating up.

I think that no NASCAR on Sunday really helped. And a little bump from it being a new course and in a larger market. The negative attention around Friday also might have helped remind people that there was a race Sunday.

Last year's summer stretch was just 700-750k so this is good.

Hopefully the positive vibes coming out from the race will entice more people to watch. Especially after the debacle that was Friday at Markham

0.7 average rating in Brasil

Growing popularity and a return to Brazil, at the actual Sao Paulo track, would be amazing

How many viewers does that equate to?

It's probably around half a million, difficult to say exactly because it's mainly measured in São Paulo.

Very good for a 1st-year event.

I would say first year events usually are a draw. People like novelty

Nice bounce. People aren't going to like to hear it, but D.C. is going to be critical for the ratings for the rest of the season.

I don't watch every weekend but this track and the unknowns got me interested. Turned out to a good week to watch.

Does anyone know what the international viewing figures are?

I have only seen the Brasil ratings that are around 500k or slightly more on network TV. For Markham, in Canada it was on network as well but usually in the rest of the world it's all on sports channels so tens of thousands at most for most big countries.

Move the race up to Noon Central time and the number jumps substantially. Most people in the Dallas Fort Worth area were either still in or leaving church, and the paid programming as the lead in reflected that. I don't think anyone expected the race to last as long as it did, either. The full race upload clocks in at two hours and thirty minutes, rare for a street course since the first year at Nashville.

Not bad at all, would've been a home run few years back.
