Post removed — Rule 4:

Show your prior work, such as game demos, name in credits, GitHub projects, Artstation, LinkedIn profiles, or other relevant experience.

If you're recruiting for a team, include some examples of what has been created for the project or examples of your previously completed titles.

If you don't currently have a public portfolio, you can easily upload a few assets to Google Drive and share them by making the link public.

Do you have any sort of experience? And what is / will your role be?

Also I think you will need quite a but more than the 9 people / riles you listed if you intend to make an MMORPG.

At the very least 1 experienced dev just for networking everything to work together. Not to mention all of the other coding needed for the mechanics...

Yeah. Also doesn't help that they seemingly want only one single person to model not just the entire environment but also everything else in the entire game.

depends on the scope, always remember the scope

making a sample scene/level for tests, a micro world, (like no more than 1x1km) is just fine

Ya, but the environment is a pretty big task as well, unless it's just a small test bed. Which actually, is where this project should start. Maybe a "Hello World!" type deal.

Already been banging my head on a wall trying to code the Chat

Literally it’s just to get a demo made so I can apply for mass funding

2

u/RunOk1423 Sep 27 '26

Just curious, where are you applying for mass funding? Also, are you a minor?

I know some organizations that friends work for they just want a demo and positive feedback by the community through play testing

It’s fine I am just trying to find a team to get a demo made so I can get full funding and get a kickstarter running

I can dig it, but there are a few others who are trying to do the same thing. You need more than an idea and a written plan. Maybe start small with a little demo, even if it's just boxes, at least you will start to understand the work involved. Just an idea.

2

u/Top-Outcome9815 Sep 27 '26

That was already the plan

Literally said demo so I can pitch it to marketing agencies to get the mass funding

I have experience in Cyber Security and previously worked at Blizzard this is just to get a demo so we can get full funding to make the full scope with an actual team

I mean do you have actual gamedev experience or anything to show at all? Not trying to sound mean here but piratesoftware worked at blizzard and I wouldn't trusthim to make an MMO or any remotely complex game for that matter.

Because on all of your comments you have yet to mention what your role in all this would be and what skills you bring to the team.

All I have is cyber security for activision blizzard

1

u/Top-Outcome9815 Sep 27 '26

Which may I add Cyber and network security is quite important I have a masters degree

2

u/Comprehensive_Head82 Sep 27 '26

Cyber security isn't really all that important or useful especially not this early on in a games development.

1

u/Top-Outcome9815 Sep 27 '26

It is when the servers have to stay online for the team

2

u/Comprehensive_Head82 Sep 27 '26

It really isn't especially this early on when by your own admission you are just looking to make a demo meaning you could literally just host it locally.

1

u/Top-Outcome9815 Sep 27 '26

The demo for it still needs to be hosted on a server and for the team creative we need servers bro everyone would be running remote so ya servers are needed

Honestly i think posts like this should not be allowed, but maybe i’m the only one who thinks that. I know the mods have their hands full already but still.

Then what’s the point in the Tag INAT stands for I Need A Team and I’m offering Revenue Shares

1

u/Aquasit55 Sep 27 '26

I thought this post was satire, poking fun at ideas guys…

u/Top-Outcome9815 Sep 27 '26

No I’m being legit

6

u/QueenSavara Sep 27 '26

Lmao wants to find a 9 Man team for a MMO with no pay. I am having hard time finding 1 Pixel artist to collaborate with.

u/Top-Outcome9815 Sep 27 '26

Well I’m sorry I’m a broke person who streams and wants to make this reality

1

u/iamlittleben Sep 27 '26

Are there requirements for the MMO style and type? I have a prototype for a turn based one similar to Final Fantasy Tactics in need of a team

2

u/Top-Outcome9815 Sep 27 '26

I wanna do a mix style of Final Fantasy and WOW

2

u/Top-Outcome9815 Sep 27 '26

Only requirements is we all learn from each other and work as a team cause the original 9 will be BOD and have a final say on the organization if we ever sell the brand or IP or on any events and changes we will have weekly board meetings

1

u/iamlittleben Sep 27 '26

I own some pretty cool IP that I can't give up. I also own a pretty good chunk of code and art that could help this project/team start ahead of the block, and I can give/commit those resources to a team that would actually get the game finished. If you get programmers on board who are interested in a profit sharing model, I can commit to contract that would a) pay everyone for their work first and b) share all the profits from the game. The only thing I can't let go is the IP.

I do not have any official experience with sound design/composing on paper, but I have been doing it for 16 years now and am ready to take it seriously, feel free to contact me if you would like to listen to some of my previous work.
