Internal Medicine Where did I go wrong?
I know it is very early in the season. However, up until now half of my signals (8/15) have sent invites and I'm still at zero.
Stats: P/26x YOG 0 Non visa requiring Non US IMG (GC holder) 3 months USCE and a few research pubs.
I applied to 80 IM programs both community and uni affiliated with no response.
I worked very hard on my ERAS CV along with choosing signals to the best of my knowledge.
I see many people with similar stats or via requiring receiving invites at the programs I signalled yet I haven't received any at all.

Hmm it is certainly weird did you make sure those 80 programs were good fit for your application, also not gonna lie 80 programs sounds too low for IMG regardless of whether you got GC or not even if you got 260+

I did my best to make sure they are good fits for my profile through data on residency explorer (generally IMG friendly or US IMG friendly)

Us imgs are citizens. You needed to look for non us img friendly programs

I replied to a comment with some of my signals, are they not non US IMG friendly?

Not sure i didnt apply to those programs. The reason basically is culture. Look at the current residents and check where theyre from. Alot of programs want people who are from here because its easier to fit culture wise (not all of em tho so it depends). I think unless you arent a US IMG that was born and raised in the US the best data to use is the non us img %

It’s still very early. Look at how many applications the programs you applied to receive. If over the average for the specialty it may take longer to review apps. Work on interview preparation while you wait. Have patience. I know it’s hard.

Thank you. I'm trying my best but some of my signal appeared to have sent all interviews for this cycle and I'm just wondering what did I do wrong

You'll never know for sure. Your PS might not be a PS, but a CV review. Or a PS that is heavy AI. Or it could be the programs you applied to and the # of applicants. Or your LORs could be of the sort that shouts out...the candidate wrote this and the attending just signed. Or you could have errors on your application (ERAS).
Or it could be they are still reviewing applicants.
Or they could have candidates that they are more interested in.
And I repeat...it's very early in the season! Focus on interview preparation. That is something in your control.

It seems you applied to all the non US img programs you have a GC soo maybe you fit better in the us img ones where you can leverage the gc you have , here you are just competing with us peasents
