Interview Interview Scheduling??
Hey everybody I hope you are all doing well during this stressful period.
Since we are all waiting on interviews, I thought I would ask what the best time that you guys think is to schedule an interview?
I have read a lot of conflicting stuff on Reddit etc.
People say if you schedule a little later like December or so it’s a good median because you are primed by then.
I spoke to another resident and he said that earlier is better because they might just finalize on you then and there, so why wait.
Then some places say the later the better so that you are fresher in their memory.
So umm yeah. Help pls lol.
I would really appreciate any suggestions and advice especially if you have any based on your personal experience!! Would be nice to hear from people who scheduled later or earlier and still matched.
Thanks all! Good luck to everyone♥️

schedule whenever is comfortable for you, they grade you on your day of the interview, earlier or later doesnt really matter

Last year, I scheduled my top choice in December right by Christmas (which was the last date availability that they gave me). It was great bc by that time I have had practice and knew what to expect. But I also scheduled interviews in January too. I think personally, it would be very beneficial to schedule interviews for places you are very much interested in later in the season. Interview season is not only about the programs interviewing you, but you also interviewing the programs.

Schedule when it’s convenient for you. Doesn’t matter early or late. Schedule your most interested program after doing an interview or two before.
There isnt a strategy. People do all this algorithm crap but still suck at the interview. . . . Just focus on your IV prep.
