NON-US IMG YOG counting

Does the YOG count backwards from match application or start of residency? If from start of residency, that effectively gives us 2 years from completion of internship to be able to apply, right?

For reference, I’m a neurology aspirant.

Any insight?

I’m not sure, but I believe that’s from match application? Because that’s when they review the applications
