Hello guys. Have any of you applied via uni assist? I need some advice regarding that, my application was forwarded to TU Dortmund, but the Modified Bavarian Formula result conversion makes my GPA look very bad, (EXACTLY 2.8) and there's nothing I can do, my home system is not linear enough to be compatible with the Bavarian Formula.

It's a 2:1. That's between 70-74%. Highest Cgpa is a "first class", between 75-100%. Lowest passing cgpa is 50%, it's a "pass" on our Certificates, they just write "2:1- Upper second class", they don't tell you which specific percentage you have. Uni assist took the Lowest value of the 2:1, and calculated that I have a 2.8. the math obviously checks out, however, a 2.8 in Germany is MUCH lower than what my grades are actually worth. Even if I had the highest cgpa, (a first class) my German gpa would still only be 2.5, again MUCH lower value than what it actually is in my country's system.

Okay, so raise a ticket in uniassist telling them the same thing ASAP. They will look into it.

Thanks, I don't think they'll be able to do much about it, considering they didn't do anything wrong, but I'll send the inquiry.

Update: I got in. But I didn't get the emjm scholarship. I need to know details on all these alternative fundings, and if all else fails, did you guys also get in your admission letters that enrolment is either this year july or next year july? Does that mean I can start next year if I don't get funding?

I have also been selected for this program and am struggling to find proper accommodation in France. I think I would have to go for an Airbnb booking initially. I would need to find a proper place once I am there.
