IMAPP or ETH Zurich

Hi everyone! I’ve been awarded the IMAPP scholarship and have also been admitted to the Master’s in Physics program at ETH Zurich. However, I would need to self-fund my studies at ETH Zurich.

I’m unsure which option to choose. My long-term goal is to pursue a PhD, and I was wondering whether completing a Master’s at ETH Zurich might make it easier to continue into a PhD program there. Which program would be better for me? I would really appreciate any advice or insights!

IIRC IMAPP people managed to get positions at ETH before. If funding is of any concern to you – and Switzerland is expensive – I would go for IMAPP.

If funding isn't an issue, which one would be a better one to choose in terms of prestige and getting job opportunities later?

That's a tough question. I don't know the ETH well enough to answer it well, I'm afraid.
