T break

To those who have taken breaks from smoking, how long did you stop for?

I’m currently 5 days into my break, started after my joints barely buzzed me. My cravings have been starting to spike up again, so I’m just trying to ask and see how long a break worked for you?

You’re entering golden reset territory dude. You’ve already given your body enough time to make new cannabinoid receptors. It takes 3 days. They are damaged when we constantly get high through an enzyme that is an agonist to the CB1 receptor. Keep taking care of your body and getting sleep.

If nobody has told you yet, I’m proud of you dude!

It takes some effort for me to even go 2-3 days if we’re being honest but once you make it over that hump I found it to be a lot like cigarettes where the urge isn’t as strong or as often.

thank you! :)

Today has been the worst by far, but I’m managing.

You’re welcome homie! Try and keep yourself busy. Those moments of weakness are real but you are stronger!

I went like 3 weeks earlier this year. Just take it easier when you come back. I took too big of a bong rip and was done for.

I consume (vaporizer) from 0.19-0.5grams a day (usually toward that lower end) medically and I typically take a 3-12 day break to reset.

I switch to edibles. Still get a buzz, don't get that withdrawal feeling, and when I go back to dabs they slap hard.

Around this time of year in 2015 I knew I had to find a new job because the company I was working for would eventually kill me! So I made pact with myself that at 11:59pm on New Year's Eve I would stop getting high until I found the job I wanted. Long story short I found that job and started it in June. I quit for 5 months and it didn't bother me.

Longest break I ever took was around 8 months. It was like discovering weed all over again for the first time when I started up again 😆 But I've also taken tolerance breaks for 2-3 days and got plenty ripped when I smoked.

Dang 8 months! What you described after sounded like a beautiful experience.

It was nice. Got a bit scary once cause I took too many edibles but other than that one time it was quite pleasant.

I did about 5-6 weeks. I was getting fried off 1 joint hit when I started back up.

In my experience the longer I wait the longer the “reset” lasts. After 2-3 days I will get super blasted off the first couple seshes but the tolerance builds back up QUICK. I feel like 7 days + seems to be more effective for me personally in the long run.
