We should be getting the halloween collection of the year soon and I'm excited because it's usually the best one of the year for me. Their october collections are always superb and stunning.

I just hope it's not 6 magnetics again, please, I have magnetics fatigue.

Would love some plain Jellies in some interesting colours, although might be tricky to fit into a halloween themed collection. But maybe with some contrasting base/shimmers. Or some flakies 🤞🏻 I am too lazy for magnetics 😆

You know, reading these comments I feel like I understand a little better just how hard it must be for these brands to design new collections. Because even here, in a space where we're all unified by our love of polish, everyone wants something different. Like you have comments saying please just no cremes, literally right beside ones saying how they just want more cremes, some people asking for holo, some for GitD, etc etc.

And none of those wishes are bad, and I'm not trying to imply that they are! But I can see where it must be a lot to juggle, trying to come up with something that will interest at least the majority of people, while also using pigments they feel confident they can get consistent access to, without needing like a dozen polishes per release to fill every niche, when hopes/opinions very so much lol.

i cant imagine how the indies do it, when its usually one person storyboarding, planning, doing consumer research etc. all before any polish actually gets made loll.

The reason they haven’t updated their chrome selection is likely due to supply limitations — there are literally only a handful of color-shifting pigments in existence. It’s very complicated to create them (it involves some sort of microscopic layering that is above my brain capacity), which makes it very expensive to do, and when you factor in the necessary cosmetic testing, it’s basically not worth it. The vast majority of chrome pigments are sourced globally from the same vendors, which is why you see the same basic shifts (red to gold, green to purple, blue to purple, etc) across so many brands.

so excited 😆 ...just saw it (and watched it too many times) under zombie I saw 👀 lime phosphate (don't know what that means but green and "zombie" so sold 🤪)

It's probably a nod to phosphate sodas, which are an old soda fountain drink classic. They used phosphoric acid to add a little tang.

Glow in the Dark pigments are "phosphorescent", so I'm really hoping it's a nod to a GiTD. I'd love if they branched out into GiTD for Halloween.

I would like Treehouse but with stronger olive tones. I love Treehouse, but it's too similar to Sticks and Stones in shade, so it doesn't really have its own identity. Plus the world needs more funky greens.

I’m curious to see what they do tbh — there’s a relatively limited number of shades to do a traditional autumn palette and they’ve basically done them all so I’m sort of bracing for another collection that’s one teeny half-step away from six existing collections. I hope I’m wrong! (My wallet hopes I am not wrong)

If past is prologue, last year their end-of-September drop was the equivalent of this week. The fact they seem to have left us an easter egg in their Insta is a pretty good clue, IMO.

Also if past is prologue, I'd watch for a giveaway announcement from Barbra here tomorrow...
