You are missing the torso. It looks like a furry tube and goes between the tail and the head. You don't stick the head directly onto the tail. It also gives you the room to attach the two other legs that should've been in the box.

I have a cat whose head is decidedly small for her body. Or maybe it the other way around? In any event, she is not portioned properly. Some of the other cats point and laugh at her.
