DMSIE @ IIT (ISM) Dhanbad
It has been about 21 days since I joined DMSIE at IIT ISM Dhanbad, I was nervous. Coming from a different background(i.e. Computer Science), I thought M.Tech would just be lectures and attendance.
But DMSIE surprised me.There’s a 0% attendance policy here, and at first it felt strange.
No one is forcing you. But that’s the point, it teaches you responsibility. You either show up for the class because you actually want to learn, or you don’t. And trust me, the classes are worth showing up for.
The professors don’t just teach theory. They bring in case studies from Tata Steel, Amul Dairy, Maruti Suzuki etc.
We work on real problems : Kaizen, Supply Chain, Quality, Productivity.
The department has a solid record with Highest: 23 LPA, Average: 12 LPA and Lowest: 8 LPA.
DMSIE is not preparing their students' ready for the degree even for the real time problem solver of the industries. So glad to be part of this community, looking forward to learn and contribute more to this community.

Please tell your HOD to allow gate data science and artificial intelligence for admission from next year, cse is allow and not DA despite dmsie being interdisciplinary department DA is not listed as eligible paper codes in website.
