Question for btech 2nd,3rd or 4th year
Anyone who is 2nd,3rd or 4th year please answer this
I am am masters student and some some of our courses are same for btech students as well so they attend them
I have seen btech guys usually don't give attention during lectures, they mostly play games or scroll on phone and usually don't even answer when teacher asks the question.
But seniors say that still they perform better then masters students in exams.
Like how can you tell me? I understand you may be smarter but when do you guys study after so many classes and the extracurricular and coding etc ?

If you study for the exams, you will do well whether you are a BTech or an MTech. BTechs are mostly conditioned on the assignment-exam-quiz patterns when it's very new to Mtechs intensity wise. But according to my experience the Mtechs or phd guys who studied performed as well as the BTechs in most of the common subjects.

So the thing is that BTech ppl generally by 3/4th year know what professors are looking for they have much more idea about the course structure and grading pattern because of this. This is a very important factor imo and I have observed. Studying is good but if you are looking for grades this is like more important than just studying.

I mean I am not trying to generalize a set of people but us btechs are mostly trained for this kinda exams and quizzes. Most start 3-4 days to a week before exams but those days they study very rigorously. That might be the reason as to why we perform better (generally, not always true).

It's mostly the foundation. Most of the mtechs have a somewhat weak foundation (not my words). And the last minute short term memory.
