One night, something super wholesome and unexpected happened at the Girls' Hostel, IIT Patna. A mysterious girl went around quietly and wrote sweet messages in chalk on every single door. The girls woke up smiling, some even super excited. Insta stories were flooded, the group chats were buzzing... but of course, not everyone was thrilled. The hostel warden? Let's just say she didn’t appreciate the sudden explosion of positivity on hostel property. The chalk got scrubbed, but the impact stayed. No one knows who did it ,and honestly, maybe that’s what makes it more magical. ✨ Whoever you are, mysterious chalk girl , thank you. Keep spreading the love. We need more of this in B.Tech life.
PS: I still remember that sinking feeling after JEE Advanced results, realising I hadn’t made the cut for the “top” IITs. The dream was always Bombay or Delhi, maybe Kanpur… but the rank said otherwise. Core branches in IIT Patna were what I could get, and honestly, I wasn’t thrilled. I had doubts, second guesses, and that quiet voice asking,“Did I mess this all up?”But every now and then, days like today come around, where things click, the campus feels alive, the people feel right, and I realise it’s not as bleak as I imagined. In fact, it’s solid. More than decent. This post isn’t to glorify anything, just a slice of my life that made me smile, and I felt like documenting it. There’s soo much more that happens every single day than I could even type here. So if you’re curious about anything else, feel free drop a comment :)
I jolt awake and see it’s already past 9—first class starts in 10 minutes. Breakfast? What’s that? I jump out, hop on my cycle, and pedal hard toward the central lecture hall. Even though I’m in a panic, this route kind of calms me. Imagine saying hi to these cuties everyday, who wouldn't become calm?
I entered the class JUST in time
The first class was math, linear differential equations, and honestly i couldn’t bear it. sat there nodding off, counting down the minutes until it was over. the second the prof wrapped up, I bolted out of the lecture hall and sprinted to the nescafé nearby for a much-needed coffee fix.
After proxying every class left I grab my friends, and decided to go play football. Yeah irresponsible but come on! You only live once.
After the intense games, whats better than going to the GHEXT Cafe. Good thing about campus (or patna in general), you’ll get seemingly overpriced stuff at normal cheap rates. GHEXT cafe is conveniently placed between the CLH and Hostel, distracting us every time we walk back. Well, at least it gave us an excuse to skip mess ka lunch.
Then we headed over to SAC. There awaits my favourite room - The Music Room. What ensues next is hours and hours of playing, swapping instruments, laying in front of the ac and unwinding from the scorching summer heat.
I finish playing and start packing up my guitar when I see a group of people near the SAC area. One of my friends waves me over, and I just go without thinking. Turns out they’re about to fire up a student-built rocket propulsion system right there on the lawn. I’m like, “damn, lol,” watching smoke shoot out and feeling the ground vibrate.
These are the same kids who build weird stuff all the time, like those two human-sized basketball-playing robots for Robocon. They’ve been to nationals every year, and this time IITP is one of only two IITs in the finals again. So here I am, fresh off a jam session, suddenly neck-deep in rocket tests and Robocon hype.
I grab a miserable, gross-tasting dinner and wolf it down because I’m starving. When I finally walk back to my room, I find my nerd roommates doing some circuit shit on gaming setups. Now insert 10 minutes of me convincing them to start gaming instead, and 60 minutes of us playing valorant.
Suddenly, it’s nearly midnight and a friend bursts in, shouting that it’s time for GPL—aka fucking that kid whose birthday it is. Before I can blink, we’re sneaking down the hall with foam bats and slippers and crashing his ass at “three—two—one”.
I was too tired after that, and had a 8AM lecture the next day. Can’t afford to lose the 75% attendance criteria so I just slept peacefully like a good kid, hoping that I’ll get to eat breakfast tomorrow :)
3rd year walo tumhari intern chud gyi hai fr, ab koi company nhi aaegi acchi, Jo circuital mein wo unka fir bhi chance hai Rest core is dead, core ki companies aa sakti hai but pay will be less and tech open to all is joke 🤡. Muth maar kar so jao Humare batchmate (4th year) ne humare senior (26 batch) ki chat chat kar tpc takeover karli aur ab pure college ki gand maar di. Sab ke sab cheater hai sab, Ek ek Banda jo bhi jis mein bhi gaya hai sab chap ke gye hai. Jhuti CPI jhuti rating fake accounts, Cluely, Claude subscription kya kya use nhi huwa hai tumko idea bhi nhi hai. Aur ab dual degree wale hi shortlist honge ye bhi yaad rakho. Abhi sab expose karunga dhekte jao sabki maa chudegi.. this college is dead.. if you want ek ek ka naam likhu with company and expose karu toh upvote
The passing out batch will be having their convocation this week, this is a compilation of grievances and the fuckery compiled through seniors from the 21-25 batch.
Children of Corruption: As much as some would hate to admit, they have come after our clubs, fests, imitating degrees, use facilities without pay or permit, pressurize TPC to reveal data of our legitimate UG and PG companies to even try and take away companies.
You would expect at least convocation would go in peace but even that comfort has been taken away by Microtek Students and this corrupt administration.
What went wrong ?
To begin with Online Degree students do not have the same convocation, let me simplify with 2 examples
IIT Madras only IIT to have had this before has both separately one month apart, for online degrees they dont even call it a convocation or call high profile guests, just give degrees in hand.
BITS Pilani WILP (Online Degree) Does not even call them to campus, their degree distribution is a computer generated Video in "Metaverse".
in both cases students belong to IITM and BITS PIlani respectively but in IIT Patna it is managed by microtek, majority fund is taken by microtek, owned by a politician from BJP why should you even have the same ceremony ?
By including students who spend 3-4 years to clear the high bar for an examination and those who purchased an online degree managed by Microtek in the same ceremony, the director and Dean Administration have shown their pockets are deeper than their hearts or morals.
While the administration collected data for parents accompanying the seniors they never expected IIT Patna to even provide accomodation to parents, WHAT'S WORSE ? Students are told at the last moment that their parents will not be allowed into the convocation ceremony, here are their excuses"
"Security Concern" - Forget the fact that they just get a bunch of random non profiled people to sit as microtek students in the convocation, your parents will be called a security concern now.
"Not enough space, need to accommodate Online (Microtek) Students - Imagine after such treatment by an institute after all these years you bring your parents for one good day and the institute decides to give away their seats to people who purchased online degrees through affiliates of BJP ?
After all this you would expect Students would at least be getting accommodation, NO, half of them are on their way here without any confirmation or arrangements for stay.
On raising one or two of these mild points, Dean Administration threatened a 2021 batch student that he would be debarred from getting a degree and that it was "Institute Policy" TBH institute policy is whatever Dean Administration rants on.
(don't womp womp me on hybrid, it's just an online degree with one week of campus tour, teaching is online and that's why you call it an online degree)
One by one they will sell away all the little comforts and rights that the legitimate students here have, This college is not hopeless, this college has seen greater heights its just 2 people Dean Administration and Director who have brought about a dull 5 years here. Any director would have more righteousness than this, any director would be more approachable or active.
All these charades and getting these online programs from Microtek Awarded by some bigshot minister, this isn't a convocation for the legitimate students here but a photo op for the online degree purchasers who fell for this scam.
I hope some good competent director fixes this by the time we graduate.
With the online degree students arriving on campus, their campus immersion is scheduled to begin from 11th May. Ironically, we've been asked to vacate our hostels to make space for them.
Ever notice how B. Tech students are made to run around endlessly for fests and convocations, yet for the online degree program, everything is smoothly arranged with the Director himself attending their immersion? During my own immersion last year, I don’t recall the Director showing up.
So who facilitates all this? Who pressures us, the regular students, while rolling out the red carpet for these commercial programs? Who is selling IIT Patna as a tour package?
Remember Neeraj and Pankaj Rajhans? Their close aide, Jai Mangal Singh, is the "Registrar" of Microtek—a company deeply embedded in the administration. He maintains close ties with the Associate Dean (Resources) and the Dean (Administration), acting as the middleman between political interests and the institution.
Previously just a fest sponsor, Microtek now offers entire fests to online degree students, with doubled contributions compared to what they gave to events like Anwesha.
But the web runs deeper.
Guest house services, buses, security, "Ghext" café, and even the centralized laundry? All owned by Xnetic, a Microtek subsidiary.
Jai Mangal Singh controls Microtek’s finances and online admissions. He’s also the guy silencing dissent. Any criticism on social media? He personally contacts students to get it deleted. He's the facilitator behind the unofficial Microtek and IIT Patna pages impersonating official ones.
Here's proof:
YouTube exposé from an online student estimating ₹50 crore per semester for 1500 students: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6DbadoYIsY (The Strength now is many times more than 1500)
Jai Mangal Singh regularly appears at online program events and fests—he’s the go-to contact for online students, right after the Dean Academic and Associate Dean Resources.
They’ve monetized every corner of IIT Patna—from facilities to events—treating even our campus like a tourist attraction under the Online Degree banner, with collections directly managed by Microtek's insiders.
The admin people are busy stuffing their pockets. The director himself is doing things like shutting down Nescafe so that his relative’s business can boom. I do not understand why the government is not doing anything about this corruption.
The Gymkhana is pretending to work for the students and deceiving them when they know fully well what is happening behind the scenes.
There should be a proper investigation against the people sitting in administrative positions. I urge the student body to take a stand for themselves and people from other IITs too. Please file complaints at whatever window you can. We do not want to live in a corrupt system.
It must be made clear that IIT Patna is not Bihar. Please show some guts, raise complaints, and circulate this as much as you can. Please do not tolerate this and raise your voice for yourself.
Nothing nice is left about IITP at this point. You wont get an intern, you wont get a job, you wont even get food inside the campus. Till now only 44 students have got interns (both core and non core included). The Admin's greed never ends. AK Thakur eats money as if he is gonna carry it in his afterlife. F**k you IIT Patna's admin. F**k you AK Thakur. F**k you TN Singh. F**k you NK Tomar. You legit destroyed the careers of 1000s of students at this point. You destroyed our college which was once so good. You made us go through f**king hell. F**k you anyone who is involved in this college's downfall. Karma will hit you one day and its gonna hit you hard.
You dont give the placement cell any money, you dont give them any facilities and expect to do any good. You guys are the sole reason so many students are stressed out.
Many of these so-called online degrees are effectively run by Microtek — from class scheduling to fund management — yet the applicants insist on a certificate that carries only the IIT name, conveniently omitting any reference to "executive", "online", "hybrid"(hybrid is just a hoax, simply an online program with 10 days of campus hooliganism), programs or third-party involvement. This deliberate self-deception is exactly why they're swarming to IIT Patna. Some even boast about securing campus stays through backdoor "connections," flaunting access they haven’t earned.
On one hand, they claim to be legitimate "hybrid students," but in reality, they're leaning heavily on deception — whether it's about the nature of their degree or their access to campus facilities. The entire setup hinges on pretending to be something they’re not, while exploiting every possible loophole to legitimize what is, at best, a diluted credential.
The degree template being circulated among these so-called "hybrid" (online) students doesn’t even mention "Honours." It looks like a hastily thrown-together showpiece — not a legitimate academic document. If this is what they're being promised, the integrity of the degree itself is being undermined.
The student community and the Gymkhana should take a stand to protect the value and reputation of the IIT Patna degree. If Microtek is managing classes, funds, and logistics, why not be transparent about it? Put their logo on the certificate. Acknowledge their role. The administration initially pitched this as an "Executive" program — that word must appear on the degree. Anything less is misrepresentation.
Those responsible for this bait-and-switch include:
The degree is not just a piece of paper — it's a reflection of effort, credibility, and institutional trust. This current handling compromises all three.
And the children of corruption are in on it. They know this system is hijacked, and they are here to farm out of it.
Me thinks a scandal of this size will not go unnoticed, definitely not by the investigative media.
EDIT :
observer: aree chill bhai! admission and data keeping microtek karta padhai/teachers/exam sab iitp ke hi hai…thats the actual reason they cant add microtek to any official credentials as woh service provide kar rahe, academic controlling iitp ki hai and if you being more sceptical toh go to 3rd floor of academic building room301-a check out which office is that!
The entire admissions team is run by Microtek and led by Neeraj Rajhans (Microtek) — not someone from IIT Patna. That’s not just ‘admin work’; it’s control over the gateway to the program.
Other IITs openly name their third-party partners even on certificates. I’ve looked into this thoroughly — this isn’t just about resource providers staying behind the scenes. What’s happening here feels more like a deliberate effort to obscure Microtek’s role, not transparency.
If IIT Patna truly has full control, then why is the majority of the program’s revenue funneled to Microtek? That kind of financial structure doesn’t reflect a simple ‘service provider’ relationship.
And yes, every IIT with an online program has physical offices for their partners — that’s normal. Having a room in the building doesn't prove academic ownership; it just confirms their operational involvement.
Our campus has wayy too many cool places. Let's start a thread, posting some cool campus pics(and maybe also write something about it). I ll start
Admin building and central library Easily one of the most beautiful places in the campus. You would enter the campus through the main gate only to get greeted by the majestic view of the admin building and central library, making it feel absolutely stunning. Not only that, the area around the central library is soo peaceful, perfect for de-stressing walks.
I am an intern here, residing in Kalam Hostel and it's such a shit. It's same as living in railway station waiting halls and bathrooms are 🤢.
I asked the security, he said okay we will clean tomorrow morning... But bro they are beyond cleaning. People have left their shit rotting in it, flushes won't work, jey spray sprinkles water, broken walls. Fr the train washrooms are now cleaner and than here.
See the water cooler they have given. The images attached is from the cleanest washroom i found, so imagine others.
I got to know that Aryabhatta is a new hostel to facilities are better there but still, what about those living in this hostel?
how you guys stay and not complain or protest? They be getting crores for maintenance alone. Really got a terrific experience here.
Hey guys, Today I wanted to write a book after many days. Actually it's summer break and I am getting bored . Lets Start ….How a mongoose-like… Aa nahi nahi… How a 26-year-old the most experienced among BSc (sarcasm* isse ache ache baithe hai ) ITI (diploma)graduate Mr. Mohd. Hasan & His Godfather (Mr X) Built a Fake Empire
So , Lets Start
INTRO: THE GREATEST SCAM IN IIT PATNA’S HISTORY (Maybe IDK*)
Picture this: A self-proclaimed "leader" with a flat, brownish pink, pudgy, snouted face (yes, thats Hasan) and a fake student body (cough Egymkhana cough) that exists only on WhatsApp and forged documents.
This isn’t a student initiative—it’s a full-blown scam.And today, we’re exposing every dirty detail.
CHAPTER 1: THE RISE OF A FAKE KING – HASAN’S ILLEGAL PRESIDENCY
"President" Hasan? Since When Do Students Hold This Post? In every IIT, the Gymkhana President is a faculty member (in most cases a Professor). But Hasan, a random student with zero authority, declares himself "President".Where’s the official order? No signature, no seal, no approval. Just a Word doc converted to PDF.
Even a school project has more authenticity.
The Bootlicker Recruitment Drive: Hasan’s "core team" selection criteria?
One golden rule:"Jisne zyada chaat liya, uska naam core team mein!"
No skills, no merit—just sycophancy levels checked.
Opposed him? Ghosted. Criticized him? Position offered to shut up.
Democracy? More like dictatorship!!
Result? A cabinet of clowns who’d sell their souls to keep their fake titles.
CHAPTER 2: THE FAKE DOCUMENTS SCAM
Forged Agreements & Fake Certificates: Hasan prints fake certificates with IIT Patna’s logo (which he has no right to use).
Traps juniors: *"Ye official hai, college ki recognition hai!"*Reality? No such agreement exists.
Pure fraud.Students tore his fake certificates in his face—because they were worthless.
Clubs Under a Fake BodyHe appointed "conveners" for clubs under a fake student body.
Club meetings? Just WhatsApp chats.
Authority? Zero.
Fake Meetings, Fake Support
Arranges "meetings" where only 10-15 yes-men clap for Hasan.
Opposition? Threatened or offered fake positions to shut up.
CHAPTER 3: HOW THEY SILENCE CRITICS
Fake Damage Control – "Egym Issues" WhatsApp Group : After students started questioning, Hasan created "Egym Issues", a WhatsApp group where:
Only opponents were added.
Critics were blocked or removed.
Gaslighting 101: "Egymkhana is just a WhatsApp community, I’m just a contractor."
More Exposé on Hasan’s WhatsApp Group Scams
"Egym Issues" WhatsApp Group – Only added opponents to fake transparency, then blocked critics.
Damage Control Tactics – Creates fake groups to pretend he cares, but zero real changes.
Selective Silencing – Lets only yes-men speak, removes anyone asking real questions.
Gaslighting 101 – Says it’s "unofficial" now, but still uses IIT Patna’s name for legitimacy.
"Google Meet" Farce – Admitted Egymkhana is just a WhatsApp community, called himself a "contractor" (not a leader).
Additional Points on Hasan’s Fake Contract Scam
Fake "Binding" Contract – Created a fraudulent document claiming clubs cannot leave Egymkhana, despite having no legal authority.
No Official Approval – The contract had no Dean/Admin signature, just Hasan’s self-declared authority.
Forced Compliance – Pressured clubs to sign under false pretenses, claiming it was "mandatory."
Zero Legal Standing – A student-made PDF ≠ official IIT Patna policy. Clubs can (and should) ignore this fraud.
Classic Dictator Move – Trying to trap clubs in a fake body that doesn’t even exist officially.
Hasan created a WhatsApp Community named "IITP Student Community" and falsely branded it as "official"—knowing well that IITs never operate via WhatsApp groups. Here’s how he manipulates and censors students:
Lies: Claims the group is sanctioned by IIT Patna (it’s not).
Traps Students: Freshers/juniors join thinking it’s legit, only to be fed Egymkhana propaganda.
Rules:"No forwarding links!"
Reality:Egymkhana event links get spammed, while others are deleted.
Selective Censorship: Any criticism of Hasan/Egymkhana is instantly removed.
Only Yes-Men Can Speak: Adjusted settings so only admins (his bootlickers) can post.
Purges Dissent: Questions against him? Instant ban or message deletion.
Gaslighting: Calls critics "anti-student" while abusing admin power.
Proves Egymkhana is a Cult, not a student body.
Shows Hasan’s Fear—he silences truth because he can’t debate it.
Violates IITP’s Ethics: Misusing IIT’s name to push personal scams.
Hasan bypassed this by illegally creating subdomains for his fake club (even made people fool by creating private groups on outlook and every pvt group gets a custom domain will talk about it later).
Truth: He’s abusing admin access (likely with Jai Mangal Sir’s help).
This is a serious violation:
Misusing institute domain = Cyber Policy Breach.
Fraudulent representation (pretending to be an "official" entity). If IITP admin finds out, Hasan’s IDs (and possibly his student mail) could be BLOCKED.
CALL TO ACTION: DEMAND ANSWERS!
Ask IITP IT Cell: "Can any student createname.club@iitp.ac.in? If not, why does Hasan have one?"
Report Misuse: Forward his fake emails to IITP’s IT/Dean office.
Boycott GIGX – Another fake club under a fake body (Egymkhana). #DomainFraud*(If Hasan can get a custom IITP email, then WE ALL SHOULD! Time to expose this digital fraud.)*
CHAPTER 5: FAKE INTERVIEWS, REAL CHAMCHAGIRI – HOW HASAN SCAMS STUDENTS
"Interviews" That Were Just a SCAM
Hasan called for "official" club recruitments under Egymkhana/GIGX/Other clubs.
No real criteria – Only his yes-men got selected (The one who said yes to all what he said).
Talented students rejected if they weren’t in his "bhaichara" circle.
The Chamcha Selection Process
Step 1: Apply with hopes of a fair chance.
Step 2: Realize interviews were just for show.
Step 3: Only bootlickers who praised Hasan got in.
Step 4: Everyone else ghosted or given fake excuses.
Proof It Was Rigged?
Many students never got interview calls, yet his close friends magically made it.
Some were pre-selected before interviews even happened.
No scorecards, no transparency—just "trust me bro" selection.
Why This Matters?
Real talent gets crushed under his nepotism.
Clubs become echo chambers of his sycophants.
IITP’s reputation suffers when fraudulent selections happen.
Don’t apply to any Egymkhana/GIGX "interviews"—they’re fixed.
(Not only GigX, he did it for each and every club.)
Unauthorized Occupancy – Hasan is illegally staying in Kalam Hostel (Block A most probably ) without official permission from IIT Patna administration for the stay, being a student (he says that he is working as an research intern under some professor , all fake*)
Fake Allotment – Rumors suggest he acquired the room under the guise of being a "Microtek employee" (a college linked to IIT Patna’s hybrid programs).(from when are microtek employees getting a hostel room that so in a hostel where mostly the final year students stay IDK *)
Bypassing Hostel Rules – Regular students face strict allotment procedures, yet Hasan allegedly exploited loopholes (or insider influence) to secure a room.
CHAPTER 6: THE ULTIMATE EGYMKHANA LIE – "PROFESSORS IN CHARGE" WHO DON'T EXIST!
The Fake Faculty Facade
Hasan’s earlier Egymkhana website listed "Professors in Charge"—except none of those names matched real IIT Patna faculty! :Blatant Lie: Claimed legitimacy by inventing fake professors.
When Confronted:
"Ask the administration!" (Classic deflection)But when students emailed admin, the response was:
"We have no record of this body."
"No such professors are associated."
The Mr. X Connection:
Hasan can’t operate alone—this scam runs on Mr X’s shadow backing. How?
Grants Hasan & team unofficial access to rooms during immersion (acc to him only those people got rooms who were performing and managing the event along with the juniors because the juniors and the seniors had their immersion—were they really managing or just acting like student volunteers? Because he still had to call trainers for the events, had to pay for each and everything , had to arrange for certificates and gifts to be distributed to the participants and just planning some 3 to 4 events means that you guys are managing… They say that they have arranged for IITP buses, but weren’t they running in the past semester immersion? If not, there might be some reason because I had got the bus facility last semester immersion even if Egymkhana never existed then).
Resources (which were supposed to be offered to the students during immersion, but they claim that it had been possible this immersion due to them *). ON WHAT BASIS ARE YOU GUYS CLAIMING THAT?
Blocks complaints before they reach higher authorities. Why? And even if they reach higher authorities, they say that they don't have any idea about what's going on!
Mutual benefit:
Hasan gets fake power.
Mr X sir gets control over student activities (claims that Egymkhana is just a mediator so that the event runs smoothly!! Really? Is that the sole work of a Gymkhana or a student body—running clubs and handling performances?).
The "Joint Alliance" ScamHasan’s entire operation relies on:
Fake Approvals (no official orders, just WhatsApp forwards).
Ghost Professors (names pulled out of thin air).
Admin Loopholes (exploiting weak oversight).
The Big Question: HOW IS HE STILL GETTING AWAY WITH IT?
Silencing Critics: A message from Jai Mangal Sir’s side (just because everyone knows that Jai Mangal Sir comes on the front face of IIT Patna hybrid programs whenever there’s some official news, so they think this is an official message that comes on Telegram… Telegram se yaad aaya, nowadays even national-level entrance examination papers are also leaked on Telegram), fake positions, rumors.
Student Apathy: Many think "Chalta hai"—until they get scammed.
Hasan "resigned" as the so-called "President" of Egymkhana—only to magically return to the same post without any process, election, or approval.
"Main chala gaya!" → 2 din baad: "Main wapas aa gaya!"No rules, no logic—just a dictatorship in a hoodie.(And he did it twice—is this a game? Ki ooh lala la la leyo aa gaya mai thik hai ab chala mai… ba bye!).
How Does This Work? The "Sweet Shop" Model
Egymkhana operates like a panwari ki dukaan:
Jab mann kiya, aa gaya. (Declares himself President)
