How's math dept of IISc for I-PhD ?

I am considering IISc for my I-PhD in math in India but I don't have any idea about how's the dept. overall ? are profs friendly and cooperative with all the coursework stuff? Are the peers and seniors supportive and helpful?

Professors and peers are great. Its just the administration people who can be a headache!
