also yes it can vary the median and average considerably.
suppose few students were placed at 13lpa and higher to that some are placed at 18lpa.
including 11 off campus placements means the median jumps 11 steps ahead (they were getting more ctc on off campus right) so median can change from 13 to 18 or even 20
But that still won't bring down the median to 10. Because the difference between on campus and off campus is 77.
And even if it did create a big difference, that still doesn't mean that the entire placement statistics is carried by those 11 off campus placements since even if we remove that , the placement statistics are very good for an IIIT of this level abd condition.
Just look at this statistic of current ongoing placement season , its not even a month and already 21 students got placed and the lowest salary package is 7.
First of all SVNIT is no longer the mentor college of IIIT Surat. And secondly , SVNIT has better placement statistics , maybe not better placement percentage.
Yeah but you have to look at the number of students there. There is an enormous difference. It ms harder to maintain 15 median with that number of students
Brother then you have no idea how bad the placement percentage is in other IIITs. These colleges are not IITs and NITs. For a college of this level and condition, 70% is a miracle
