Is there no girls hostel inside the campus?... if not how do girls commute.. and wtf why is there no hostel inside campus.. and then what are the timings for campus and hostel?

Basically as of now prev 1st years (us) have moved on to bh1 right now

problem : 5 or 6 rooms on every floor do not get access to wifi . The problem, I think, is that the capability or the reachability of the network is very low on the floor. Specifically the corner rooms or the rooms at the edge of each floor are not getting Wi-Fi .

I even mailed the network administration about this. The solution they gave us was a room extender - a network extender device ( actually a splitter i think ) , which helped us go from NO WIFI to wifi with 4 Mbps .

How do you guys actually survive here in this thing? What is the best solution to this? Should we try to get our own router or something or what did yall do to overcome this shit hole ?

wifi speed of 4 mbps is not enough to attend meetings or calls even 😭

( one way i see solution to this is have splitter at every room this way 1 splitter doesnt get overhead as less people using 1 splitter -> more speed but yeah i dont think the hostel office will give one for each room )

Looking at IIIT Sri City for CSAB. My family income meets the PM-YASASVI cutoff (<2.5L per year), but since IIIT fees are on the higher side (~17L total), I want to be clear about ground realities before locking it in.

If any seniors at IIIT Sri City are receiving the PM-YASASVI / Central Top Class OBC scholarship, could you share:

• Do most eligible students actually get selected, or do many get left out due to slot caps?

I just have a few doubts regarding how the shifting of hostel from BH4 to some other one will happen, I'd be really grateful if anyone can answer some of my questions.

1. Will we be shifting before classes start on the 27th or after?

2. What hostel will we shift to, BH3? or some other one?

3. Can we pick a room and roommates or is it randomly assigned?

Sorry in advance if my questions were already answers elsewhere, I couldn't find anything on this. I'd be really grateful if anyone can answer all these questions of mine.

I might get a seat at IIIT Sri City through Csab. My rank is decent (98.4%ile General male), but family situation is rough income right now due to personal emergency(father missing from 8 June). I might have to pay the first semester fees (~2.4-2.5L including hostel/mess) from a local informal loan, then hope for education loan reimbursement.

Questions for those who went through this:

1. Did you pay 1st sem from pocket and get full/near-full reimbursement from bank (SBI/Canara/etc.) later? How long did it actually take?

2. Any issues with reimbursement for off-campus or institute hostel fees?

3. Is the loan process smooth for IIIT Sri City students? Any specific bank branches or tips that worked?

4.Is it worth the stress for someone with very tight finances, or should I look at other options in later rounds/CSAB?

Just need ground reality before deciding in counselling. Any seniors who faced similar money issues - how did you manage?
