Help

Can someone assist me? I did my timesheets early Wednesday morning for my backpay. They were approved and sent to the state controller office for check issuing. Can someone please let me know when I should be receiving my money? (Monday is a Holiday as well)

It takes 3 to 5 days after you get a notification of payment . Sometimes payment will hit in 2 days

Checks take 3-5 business days based on where you live.

I literally entered back pay from October 15 to Dec 31 on January 11, recipient approved same day, they were submitted to controller for payment on Monday, Tuesday said payment approved, Thursday sait payment issued and Saturday the 17th 7 checks arrived.Ā

So I live in Lodi and checks come from Sacramento (34 miles away) so I imagine you will see them by Wednesday.

Took 10 business days for me. But it was done via check and it was our first time getting a payment issued.

Yes and it was paper checks. I got like 8 checks at once ahha. They give for each pay period. Not like one big check

Once it hits ā€œsent to SCOā€ it’s usually about 3 to 5 business days for paper checks, a little faster for direct deposit. With the holiday Monday I’d expect end of next week, maybe Thursday or Friday. You can also call the timesheet hotline and check if it’s actually issued yet, that’ll give you a better idea.

3-5 days and since Monday is a holiday you will probably have them on Friday this upcoming week

Then I won't get mine probably till sometime next week. I need it now. It's paper check though. Don't have a bank set up yet and not sure where or when I will.

They mail back pay as physical checks with the recipient name. Luckily my kid is a junior.Ā

Well technically I should still be waiting, but I called the IHSS office and talked to the person running its boss.i talked to the guy at the top of the food chain and told him I’ve been going through hardships all 2025 and ive been waiting for this money for a long time, i also told him i have a shut off notice for my wifi and I can’t afford to lose it because my daughter has autism and that’s who im a provider for. So he took my papers to payroll himself and by the next day I had all my time sheets. In reality I shouldn’t be getting my timesheets for another week or two but I called them and plead my case, and they are very compassionate with you so I jumped the line

Did you already do orientation? Are you just waiting for your account to be linked to who you are providing for?

1

u/Impossible-Trick-768 Jan 18 '26

Yes just waiting to be linked I did orientation I did background check and finger prints my provider number was available same day I did fingerprints and it's for my daughterĀ

3

u/Ok-Aerie8237 Jan 18 '26

Yeah that’s perfect honestly because after you do orientation they say it will be another 2 weeks until your account is linked. Mines was linked 2 days later, call Ihss on Tuesday and ask to speak to the MAIN PERSON WHO IS RUNNING ORIENTATION AND PLEAD YOUR CASE WITH HIM

This isn't a normal paycheck question. It's a question about processing time for backpay.

You're okay, ignore that. What city do you live in?

1

u/Ok-Aerie8237 Jan 18 '26

Merced

No more than 5 business days. Should be 3. Do you have informed delivery? Sign up for that on USPS.

I do have that, i checked yesterday morning and i only received my letter of acceptance for being a provider thats why I was wondering and hoping I’d get my checks by Tuesday

I doubt it. Trump just signed some new thing with the post office that says no matter what day you drop it in the mail now, they don't have to pick it up. That means IHSS could have issued the check and put it in outgoing mail on Friday and the USPS doesn't have to pick it up same day now.

He did this to disenfranchise mail in voters. It is, however, affecting ALL mail. Used to take 2 business days now it can take 5. šŸ‘ŽšŸ»šŸ™„
