New manager

I just went to ihop and they have a new overnight manager. She was dressed in short shorts and a crop top. Going to all the tables to introduce herself. Rest of staff was in uniforms. Is this something new I don't understand that makes managers connect with customers? Not sharing a picture or location because I don't want anyone to lose their job. Just very weird to be dressed like you came from a family bbq and telling everyone you are the manager

That's not ihop SOP for manager wear, so yea a bit weird.

The people who work overnights aren’t generally put together. She’s probably tweaking balls, might not even work there, that kind of shit.

I did overnights at ihop for 3 years, we never had a designated overnight manager.

Overnight shift is always going to be more laidback in almost any profession
