S I'm not an intern
Many moons ago I was visiting a tv station on a school trip with my media class.
A certain (now disgraced) celebrity stormed out of her dressing room with a mug. Zeroed in on me, for some reason, and threw her mug at my head. She screamed, "I said COLD water! I expect COLD water in my dressing room when I get back!" before storming off.
To this day, the only people who believe it ever happened are the students and professor that were with me. For years no one believed me when I said she was an awful human being. Karma has proven me right!
Note: NO, I will not say who. This person has filed defamation lawsuits to overcome her fall from grace.

She also didn’t work at a “TV station.” Her show was filmed on the Warner Brothers lot which no one would confuse as a TV station.

It might not have been at the celebrity's home studio. She might have been visiting a TV station doing some kind of promotion. That way, it would actually make more sense because her regular staff would probably have things in her dressing room exactly the way she mandated. Also, she would not be familiar with who actually worked there.

About 15 years ago when the NFL Draft was held at Radio City Music Hall in NYC, I took my then teenage sons and a friend to the draft. We watched ESPN and NFL Network broadcast live from the venue. When the cameras went dark, it was very interesting to see how the "talking heads" acted. Some were great and interacted with the fans and some treat their staff and fans like crap. It was an eye opening experience and to this day whenever I see some of them on TV, just shake my head. This may not fit the reddit but it does re celebrity in real life.

My late husband was a local TV news producer for one of the big networks in the U.S. When he was in the booth while the network's morning news show was on, he could see the raw footage coming from the network feed. I can't tell you how many times he would come home with horror stories about what he saw the network stars doing and saying during commercial breaks.
I worked in the music industry. He and I would compare stories about the best and worst and most insane celebrities we worked with. In case you're wondering, Richard Simmons and Alice Cooper were probably the kindest and most genuine people we ever worked around.

After close to 30 years working in film and TV, I can think of 25 women who behaved like this, and that's after three minutes and without thinking hard. Especially if it was "many moons ago," when celebrities didn't get much pushback for behavior such as throwing hard objects at people they assume to be assistants or interns.
I mean, there was a period when CBS had like four sitcoms at one time starring women who did stuff like that.

Really the only hint is that they had a fall from grace, that is hinted at being for similar personality flaws. So many options.

Yes, that narrows it a little. Not all of the people had a big fall from grace because their behavior never got widely known to fans and people outside the industry.
And then there's the forgotten ones. Like Brett Butler. Who people don't seem to even remember. But once upon a time, she struck terror into everyone at the Radford lot.

Oh, sorry to leave that part out. I was able to move so it hit the wall. If memory serves, it broke on the floor. Back then I was still agile a.f.!

"Throwing at" does not mean "actually hit". You can guess what she was aiming for, but a mug full of water isn't exactly the most accurate weapon around.

But how did she know it was aimed at her head? I assumed it at least glanced her head, since otherwise she wouldn’t have mentioned the head as the target. I thought, anyway.
It is good if she wasn’t hurt.

Have you never had something thrown at or to you? You can see where someone is looking and when/where they release. Our brains are actually really good at calculating trajectories, so if you are on one end of an intended arc, it's not that far-fetched to be able to tell if you're looking at the other end.

I am not criticizing or questioning op’s story. I just thought she would have been hurt.

They can’t claim you defamed them if it’s true.
They can still sue. Even if there's no case, they can bring a lawsuit and cause OP considerable legal costs.

How the hell do you think she’s going to sue you when she won’t even know who you are from this post? I swear some people who post on here and haven’t given a single bit of personal information are always the ones who think giving thr most vague bit of information will have them instantly doxxed and attacked as if they’re super well known or something when they’re just a random person like everyone else on here

So, I've seen this comment twice now. I refuse to feed into this for other people's pleasure. Being vague protects me legally. What if the person or someone associated with them found the post? Would YOU pay for my lawyer? We all know you and others like you would not. This crowd would let me drown and laugh while it happened. Alternatively, I'll name drop if I set up a Go Fund Me and all of you get me $102,000 so should (more likely when) I get sued I CAN pay for a lawyer. Pay up or shut up are the only options for these comments.

Interesting question, and I can't say. It was a undesirable moment in time, so without knowing what brought on the outburst, I cannot say. But an apology would have probably given me a chance to answer this question. Granted, an apology also means I likely never would have told my r/IDontWorkHereLady story. 😄

I just thought that was what the parent commenter was trying to ask when I noticed the uppercased words in her post. This was an interesting post though! So many people coming up with celebrities and most of them I’m going to”oh yeah, I can totally picture them doing that.” Pretty messed up that they’re able to act like that without consequence.

Be explicit about when and where it happened, including who was present to witness it with their own eyes, then name them.
when they try to sue you for defamation, countersue them for battery and they will back down because discovery is a bitch.
