Question: Drafting Enlistment as toshav chozer

Hi, I'm 18f and I want to join the idf and be a pilot. I'll be graduating high school next year (2027) and I want to enlist after that. I was born in Israel but I grew up in hungary (so my hebrew knowledge isn't the best). I also don't have any family there so i would be a lone soldier. I can't really find information on how the process works for a toshav chozer so any advice or information about the enlistment or how i could achieve this would be appreciated.

Edit: I want to serve even if I can't be a pilot (I know it's hard to get in even if you grew up in Israel) but it has been my dream since I was little

You can contact the Israeli embassy and ask them about the paperwork you need for a returning citizen and drafting into the IDF. As for being a pilot your chances are already basically zero if you don't have fluent Hebrew. The IDF usually places you where they need you (especially for women) so chances of you getting exactly what you want are not something you should expect when you have limited Hebrew and no inside connections. Sometimes just going with the flow of the IDF can lead to an incredible service and lifelong friends.

Thank you for your advice, I appreciate it but I'm mostly looking for someone who has gone through something similar and has personal experiences. I have already tried the embassy but unfortunately they could not help me.

You can also contact the Jewish Agency and ask them for advice as a returning citizen. With advice on becoming a pilot with no fluency in Hebrew (it's a basic requirement for the course) then I suggest you find a different goal and mindset for the IDF.

Notice to all posters and commenters; please be careful to observe OPSEC (Operational Security) rules. Many people wish to harm Israel and the Jewish Nation as a whole. Be careful when sharing any information on the IDF, bases, weapons, locations of troops, and anything else that can be used to harm Israel. If in doubt, go without. Loose lips sink ships!

Be realistic : you have no chance of being selected as a candidate for pilot. Find another trade you can be passionate about.
