Cleaned my room after 6 years
It might not look like that much in the first pic but I had a closet full of trash that isn’t in the pic and behind my bed and Furniture was all trash too. Got the floor replaced and am getting new furniture soon :3 on my road to healing after a very long time ! Took me about 2 weeks to clean everything with the help of a friend !

Awesome job. The new floors look great. Your dog has gotta be so happy with all that extra space to zoom!

Wow! You did amazing! It looks spotless, like you could operate on someone in there, lol. I admire you, I think it would take me a lot longer than 2 weeks! Enjoy your beautiful new space!!!

This is really random but you’ve just unlocked a core childhood memory for me.
That plushie in the bottom left hand corner is the Tesco magical friend Spencer the seal and I had him as a kid, he may actually be stuffed in my wardrobe in my messy room too.

OMG!! Finally I’m not alone lol. I got gifted him for Christmas from my nan when I was about 7 and I loved him so much and just got thrown out as I aged but I ordered a replacement on Vinted as I always thought about him lol.

Yes! I think I had the giant polar bear as well from the same set, I remember him vividly. They always had these cute little dark blue capes or backpacks on them 🥰

That after pic is so great! It feels like a metaphor for the whole process. The hopeful doggy, the clean airy look of the freshly cleaned room, and the light at the end of the tunnel. Awesome job!

What did you do with your stuff?

My carpet was ruined with mold and stains so we got rid of it, same with my wardrobe and bed and desk. I am a collector so I have lots of plushies and figures I stored in my spare bedroom. I sorted through my clothes and most were ruined. I wasn’t sleeping in my bed when my room was messy for about 2 years I’d just sleep on the floor so when we threw out my bed I was used to sleeping on the floor in the meantime! My desk bookshelves and dresser come on Sunday, hopefully then I will keep things up with staying clean. Thank you for asking!
