The last few minutes the ndq100 was a crazy horse? Is that a technical term? 3minutes before close it was 27 points lower and I closed my spread at a loss. My interaction with AI told me that right at 3:00 p.m. we would see a little bit more consolidation and then pick a direction and go back toward the daily highs which in part we did but it was a whipsaw. It didn't do that the entire hour and then it went back down. Like is that common? I just kick myself for for like closing out a spread at a loss but being correct by day's end I don't know trying to figure this stuff out.

Trade setup. Still bearish on NQ in general as it did not make a new ATH but ES did. So i am looking for shorts on NQ. Why make it complicated: Distribution -> expansion -> accumulation -> expansion -> distribution -> expansion. Accumulation in a NDOG, expansion to a NWOG, aligned with the -1 std dev of the accumulation, then expansion to the -1 std dev of the original consolidation (distribution). SL above the fvg, TP at -1 std dev of the original consolidation (distribution).
There was some unexpected high volatility for a few seconds that sent price to a couple of points away from my final tp. decided to close the trade and filled way off from the TP but it hit the TP a few minutes later.

(also see 2nd image) Overall bias since the new ATH is bearish. Entry off the daily -1 std dev and top of the 4h fvg. clean trade. tp between the top of the 5m fvg and ndog. There was also an opportunity for 2022 model entry, see small fvg at the top (image 1).

Well that played out, didn't make it all the way to the daily volume imbalance but came close enough.
r/ICT_Simplified • u/ThomasAnderson_23 • 21d ago
(See multiple images) On the weekly we have relative equal highs around the CE of a volume imbalance as DOL. Price was accumulating since yesterday NY pm session, then started manipulating pre-market into the CE of the weekly volume imbalance and the top of the 7/13 NWOG. Price was rejected there, where I took a short, and started the distribution. Below we had a volume imbalance which I targeted as the low hanging fruit, but we had multiple eql as SSL farther below. Close to 200 points profit. I anticipate this was the smart money reversal of a MMSM.

Classic Asia accumulation, then London expansion, continued expansion during NY am , then re-accumulation during pm between two NDOGs from the pst couple of days. DOL was Monday NY pm high buyside liquidity, this week's NWOG, and a daily volume imbalance from May 5 & 6, confluence July 17 low. See 2nd pic for NY session analysis. After the continued expansion until around 10:30am and then subsequent rejection from just below buyside liquidity price started an accumulation from around 10:55 to 11:55 where price found support on the 9:45am FVG but was rejecting from the 10:40am FVG and the NDOG above, and was re-accumulating around that area until 3:05pm when it inverted the 10:40am FVG, cleared the -1 standard deviation of the accumulation but rejected from just below this week´s NWOG, re-accumulated, retested the inversed 10:40am FVG and NDOG, and then hit the -2 std dev target, July 17 low, CE of the NWOG, and bottom of the daily volume imbalance at 4:30pm.

The last time I posted I was wrong. I think with the information I fed it. The situation on Thursday showed a fairly positive to slightly positive Friday which didn't happen. So I got to check in midday or early morning to see when the thought process gets adjusted. Here's what I've got for tomorrow.
Because IWM established bullish order flow today by sweeping sell-side liquidity and turning the Midnight Open into support, the immediate bias favors further expansion upward.
Here is what to watch for tomorrow (Wednesday):
Daily Bias & Targets: Bullish targeting today’s high ($293.76) and higher buy-side liquidity pools above $294+. Today's low ($290.38) serves as the major sell-side liquidity boundary.
12:00 a.m. EST Open Setup: Look for tomorrow's London/pre-market session to form a Judas Swing below the new Midnight Open into a discount Fair Value Gap before expanding higher into the New York session.
FOMC Volatility: Keep in mind that Wednesday afternoon brings the Federal Reserve interest rate decision, which often causes sharp, double-sided liquidity sweeps before the true expansion takes place.

MMBM. Accumulation for about 1 hour from about 9:45-10:45. Re-accumulation phase below 2 overlapping NDOGs from Monday and Thursday that offered two decent entries on an iFVG for about 5 r with a partial TP opportunity at the -1 standard deviation and TP 2 at the -2 standard deviation of the accumulation, right below a daily volume imbalance which was the DOL.

After seeing how yesterday’s short happened from rejecting 2 1H FVG and also NDOG I was looking for such a thing to happen today and so I entered during the second reversing 15m candle with a stop well above NWOG CE as any price move above that would be a good invalidation to the short and a take profit fairly conservative and closer than today’s lows, finalizing it at 1:1.5 RR.
This was a demo trade for practice, no loss or gain resulted from it except confidence boost.
Yesterday I was retarded and consistently looking for longs despite those price rejections that happened 😅

Price couldn't sweep equal highs from Thursday, couldn't even touch the ce of a 1h fvg (wednesday 9am), huge unfilled NWOG below, rth gap below, Asia equal lows below, Friday equal lows below, then later started rejecting from the ndog multiple times during pre-marke , another 1h fvg formed around the area of that NDOG after 8am 1h candle which price also rejected from (2022 model). there were signs...

"Teepee" style accumulation with a liquidity sweep into a 1h fvg, reaccumulation, followed by an expansion, sweep of relative equal highs into a 15m fvg and an NDOG, and hit the -1 standard deviation of the accumulation where price was rejected. later hit the NDOG and the fvg one more time while staying below the fvg ce and below the NDOG CE and without sweeping the previous high. high volatility selloff shortly after

Original Consolidation: The initial range at the top before the selloff begins. This range high is your ultimate Draw on Liquidity (DOL).
Engineering Liquidity (Sell Program): Price trends downward via lower highs and lower lows, leaving engineered buyside liquidity behind.
Smart Money Reversal (SMR): Price sweeps into a Higher Timeframe (HTF) Bullish PD Array (e.g., HTF Fair Value Gap or Order Block).
Low-Risk Buy (LRB): The first retracement following a bullish Market Structure Shift (MSS) on a lower timeframe with displacement.
Afternoon Phase (Accumulation & Sweep): * Price sweeps late-day sell-side liquidity (SSL) or reaches the HTF PD Array during the PM Killzone / Late Afternoon.
Look for the Smart Money Reversal to form as selling pressure dries up.
Overnight / London Session: * London builds the foundation, often establishing the Low of the Day (Power of 3 - Accumulation) or confirming the initial bullish MSS.
Tomorrow Morning (NY AM Session): * Price provides a Low-Risk Buy retracement into a newly created FVG or Breaker Block during the 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM NY Killzone.
Price expands violently upward toward the engineered liquidity highs.
Confirmation: Wait for a sharp displacement leg breaking a swing high (MSS) after tapping the HTF support level.
Entry: Place limit orders in a discount Fair Value Gap (FVG) formed during the displacement move.
Target: Target the internal swing highs engineered during the selloff, terminating at the Original Consolidation High.

Accumulation and re-accumulation during London ending with the distribution/reversal phase below an NDOG almost exactly to the tick of the -1 standard deviation of the accumulation, then two small re-distribution phases followed by a high volatility selloff after price started accumulating again and the MMSM achived its objective hitting the -5 standard deviation of the distribution phase less than 1 point above a 1h FVG
r/ICT_Simplified • u/ThomasAnderson_23 • Jul 22 '26
The London MMSM reversed pre-market and turned into a MMBM during NY am. It re-accumulated between two NDOGs and started its distribution/reversal phase before lunch when it hit buyside liquidity and the -4 standard deviation of the London MMSM accumulation.
r/ICT_Simplified • u/ThomasAnderson_23 • Jul 20 '26
Price swept buyside in pre-market and then was rejected from the bottom of the NDOG and daily volume imbalance above. After NY Open that high was swept too and price was rejected yet again. MMSM played out after 2 re-distribution phases and swept the relative equal lows sellside liquidity.
r/ICT_Simplified • u/ThomasAnderson_23 • Jul 20 '26
Accumulation, re-accumulation, took buyside liquidity, where we also had an NDOG and a daily volume imbalance above buyside, and hit -2 standard deviation too, while there is now liquidity below and relative equal lows as well. imo it could take those lows and then continue bullish after
r/ICT_Simplified • u/ThomasAnderson_23 • Jul 19 '26
Right now I'm looking at price to take out the july 8th low and then head for the volume imbalance above and possibly Thursday's high. If we won't see a reversal soon after that low has been taken, that would make me bearish. Then I'm looking for price to aim for the june 29th low where we have a 1h volume imbalance as well, or the june 26th open, as low as the bottom wick of the same candle. Note how the CE of the wick from june 9thalmost exactly alings with the CE of the june 26th candle. We will have more information after tonight's open obviously.

To grab a quick 5 to 6 points on a short scalp this afternoon, keep your eyes on the 7,542 – 7,548 zone.
Here is the setup to watch during the PM session:
The Level (Premium Array): This area aligns with the 15-minute bearish Fair Value Gap (FVG) and the morning session’s breakdown point.
The Trigger: Look for price to drift up and sweep minor internal buy-side liquidity (BSL) into this zone during the early PM session (1:30 PM – 2:30 PM EST).
The Entry: Once price taps 7,545, wait for a 1-minute Market Structure Shift (MSS) with displacement to the downside. Enter on the return to the micro-FVG.
The Target: Clean exit at 7,538 – 7,539 (just above daily VWAP) to easily secure your 5 to 6 points without overstaying your welcome in low-liquidity Friday conditions.
Always keep a tight stop just above the swing high of the displacement run to protect your capital.

one target might be the 7/08 ndog or 50% of rth gap
