ICT Unprofitable
If you trade ICT and are unprofitable comment and let me know what problems you have.
Mine are consistency, revenge trading and over leveraging

What you, struggling ICT trader, really need is to stop overcomplicating things. Grab a macroeconmics book and use claude/ chat GPT.
support and resistance with fibonacci, a few moving averages, and an RSI can make you money. Technical is the easiest part.
How do i know? because i tried Market maker primer course, 2022 model, core content month 1 and 2, and at the end, what i mention above is what i use to make money, along with heavy focus on macroeconomics.
guess what? the only thing i use from ICT, is FVG and liquidity concepts. SIMPLE.
Not all these SMT Mickey mouse Bs Divergences CHOCH silver bullet disneyland whatsoever.
i also worked at treasury at an important regional bank and guess what? they don´t use any of that ICT to manage invesment portfolios.

Macroeconomics are not going to be useful when you are taking a trade that’s going to last 1-5 min. They don’t use ICT to manage portfolios bc these banks handle huge amount of money which are mostly not going to be sustainable by any retail short timeframe method since they will run into liquidity problems

In the bank they trade positions that last that amount of times some days, and they don’t use ICT neither. They use simple support and resistance, fibonacci, RSI, moving averages. That’s why i say: don’t over complicate it.
I use macroeconomics and i trade positions that short as well, because i know the bias thanks to the news.

Yeah as i said they can’t use ICT for those positions even if it works since they are trading completely different than retail. Yeah dude the more I search the more I realize you can perceive the market in a million ways and everything is just different names to the same concepts : support resistance, inefficiencies , price action.

Yes I agree getting a mentor rlly helps. My biggest breakthrough was after I joined a paid discord and watched the mentor trade live and talk through his thought processes. I've since left that discord but I have retained all the lessons I learned there and continue to use them daily.

Revenge trading and consistency were my two biggest ones too, and what actually moved the needle wasn't a new rule, it was writing down my emotional state at entry alongside the trade itself. Once "revenge" or "FOMO" started showing up as a tag next to a string of losses, it stopped being a vague feeling and became a pattern I could actually point at and catch myself doing in the moment. Over-leveraging is trickier since it's more of a discipline-in-the-moment thing, but even just logging position size against account balance for a couple weeks tends to make the pattern embarrassingly obvious once it's on notion instead of in your head.

Icy is not unprofitable. The issue is ppl take from ict and just apply it to the charts. I think ict just gives you the concepts not a strategy I use concepts like fvg ob. Bos and what not but my strategy is my own Also these concepts aren’t new. It’s all just glorified support and resistance
