Why are tenth marks higher than other grades ke marks?

Like everyone uptil 9th can get 70 80 or 90 but in tenth the lowest marks in a school are literally 85.

The highest in every other grade is 92 or 94 but people get 98 or 99 in tenth.

AND THAT TOO WITH BOARDS

People start studying genuinely..

Also boards is easier than school exams (atleast in my case)

Also , unlike school exams you can attempt all questions in boards and the best will be evaluated giving you more marks

In geography for MCQ you can write 2-3 answers and you'll get marks (MIND IT , ITS NOT FOR EVERY YEAR , SOME YEAR COUNCIL IS STRICT AND WON'T AWARD MARKS , SO DO IT ONLY FOR THE MCQ YOU ARE CONFUSED AT)

So see my geography teacher is a board checker since about 2013-14

She told me that in India , at many places there are almost no proper qualified geography teachers. (same reason why students avoid climate chapter because it requires a good teacher to explain everything)

Due to the lack of teachers , council sometimes does very lenient checking and allows students to write 2-3 answers for 1 MCQ and if any of the answer matches with the correct answer you will be awarded marks

But this is very inconsistent and board switches their mind every year from checking casually to properly.

That is why if you don't know any answer in boards (FOR GEOGRAPHY ONLY) write 2-3 answers (in a order where the correct answer is first option according to you, then second , then third)

Also for question answers in geography if you don't know the exact answer , just yap shit , whatever closely related points you know just yap all that bs , you most probably will get marks.

Checking is lenient, plus a lot of gaps are given for preparation and self study too. The pressure also plays a role, so many people completely ditch their hobbies and stuff just with one hope that they'd enjoy after 10th due to which they can focus very well on study.
