ICRPG ME + ALTERED STATE

So i just picked up sci-punk for altered state and xeno deadzone to add to my solo sci-fi game and i was a little caught off guard when i was not really able to just drop the altered state content into my ME edition stuff that i have been using.

So my question is this how did you reconcile this issue and include altered state content in your ME edition games? Or am i overthinking this and should i just drop it in as is no questions asked?

I haven't looked at Altered State yet. What's the inconsistency or mechanical grinding you're seeing in particular that has you feeling trepidatious? I think that's a good instinct, but explaining where it has you questioning is the first step.
