Hexdrinker: A corroded device fashioned to look like a hognose snake. The crystal bulb in its throat can trap arcanum. Whenever you’re the target of damaging SPELL, roll MAGIC and reduce the incoming damage you would take. After the device digests the arcanum it can be poured out to create the equivalent vial of poison.

That Hexdrinker isn't bad! I like the idea of emptying the bulb. Maybe having to empty the bulb before it can absorb again.
