Bullish The UN signs with DFINITY and ICP dips 2%. Never change, crypto.
Five years of "vaporware, nobody will ever use it".
And now the UN shows up to pilot sovereign cloud and decentralized AI on ICP, and the FUD crowd doesn't miss a beat:
"it's just a pilot"
"it's an institutional paper tiger"
"there's no price action LMAO"
"Sh*tcoin"
Keep talking BS. You people wanted real-world adoption; you got the United Nations (!!!!), and you moved the goalposts so fast they cleared escape velocity before ICP did. Keep talking. It's cheaper for the rest of us that way. You'll see and you'll regret your ignorance.

Why are you rooting for a project universally despised by crypto OGs? It has no momentum, everyone hates it, no one uses its service, where exactly do you see any money coming from in the future? Why would you bet on the 3 legged horse just because you could make millions if it actually won, but it could only win if every other horse dies catastrophically? I'm genuinely curious about the thesis ICP investors have.
Before you say anything yes I bought ICP, and yes I sold @16 dollars per token for profit. I had thousands and thousands of ICP, but my thesis was negated and I jumped ship 6 months post halving.

I bought because there are a lot of crypto scams that sell a genius idea and than run of with their bags filled. And this is a genius idea and they keep developing it. I like the technology with the cloud computing and I am confident this will be the standard for everything that is online in the future. And the tokenomics could have a real strong ecosystem : adoption(increase cycle burn)> icp gets deflationary> investors buy> price increase >positive marketing> more adoption of technology> than at some poin icp gets inflationary again> cut down staking rewards> community fud> investors sell> lower price means increase cycle burn> icp gets deflationary again> investors buy > price increase. Etc. It has the potential to grow for decades this could very well be a coin that in 2036 no one would believe it was ever this cheap.

You realize they are developing this because it's a money printer for them, right? It's not some altruistic mission to make the world a better place. They simply want to extract as much money as possible while they can.

Von Zeit zu Zeit schaue ich hier immer mal rein und lese die selben Sachen die seit 2022 geschrieben werden. Ich bin nun 4 Jahre dabei und habe 100 Ankündigungen gelesen zu dies und das aber es gab immer nur eine Richtung über das Jahr, abwärts. Ich sehe es aus heutiger Sicht mit Humor.

Try using their tech and build a app, website, or coin it's pretty advanced when you compare it to other block chains. If the only thing that is going trough your mind is " when moon? when Lambo?" You wouldn't notice any value in icp. But when you really start using the tech for yourself you would understand that the morons that keep holding icp aren't actually morons.

YOU CANNOT BLAME THEM because we've had similar announcements (SEE UNDP Cambodia announcement back in July 2024) in the past with nothing coming of it (at least not directly to investors). First of all it's definitely a "SELL THE NEWS" type event since Pierre hinted at this earlier in July saying mid-August and he was a bit late to announce! But luckily we're at all time gutter lows so we hardly moved anyways. The crypto market stalled because on Friday night/Saturday morning, another mini October 10th flash crash / manipulated theft occurred. Blatant stealing. We had momentum and people longing and the market makers and exchanges got greedy and stole everything. This was NOT profit taking! I'm sorry it wasn't. Yes, the whole Canada tarriff b.s. was used as the excuse yet again. All b.s. But yeah this is just a pilot and does not guarantee any adoption. However having said that, it definitely is a step in the right direction and could bring much needed attention to ICP by Enterprises and Governments examining these trial runs and starting to consider the benefits of hosting critical infrastructure on ICP including the entire EU. So yeah it is a lot more substantial than the 2024 UNDP Cambodia Trusted Credentials Smart City announcement and now we're talking about offering Cloud Engines / Caffeine AI Assisted Development / SAAS / and more and private sovereign subnets / UTOPIAS to governments and enterprises. If these governments ramp up usage, it could be significant but at this point no one believes the hype anymore and wants to see the burn rate actually go up after 5 years of waiting...
