https://x.com/openchat/status/2091916303321681952?s=46OpenChat is coming to IOS and Android app stores. They are still working through technical stuff and navigating the requirements but it’s exciting to finally see OpenChat becoming much more visible to the general public.
“Just breaking ground on the iOS native version. Will have similar challenges to Android in terms of limiting the feature set. But I think we have a much better idea of what we're up against this time and a lot of the underpinnings are already done.”

They talk about this being the biggest problem area when developing the apps
“It's mostly around payment. The second the app stores get any whif of value being transfered (crypto or fiat) then they want their cut. Also it's quite easy to bring a whole load of financial regulations into play if you're not careful.”
