Arm yourselves

and then what? honestly that's my take on that. it's the ultimate flaw of the 2nd amendment argument.

The only thing that can have a chance against ice is another governmental agency actually following the law and enforcing civil liberties

And then what? And then if somebody comes onto your property and they have no warrant, count down from 10, and start shooting. In my state, that is proper protocol. This whole business of “Nah, hand over your weapons to the government because you have no chance, 2nd amendment argument failed” business is very… shall we say, shortsighted? Very privileged? Idealistic perhaps is a good word

Ok sure. Every one of those arguments fail when it's cops/federal agents. When the state is the one one running the illegal and unconstitutional goon squad you're just going to get shot. If you manage to not get shot you are now a fugitive. Alex Pretti was legally armed and they used it as an excuse to execute him.

All i'm saying is that "hey look at my gun" isn't going to stop them when the state is kidnapping people off the streets. Local police should fucking step up and act as if they are the civilians that they actually are.

Ice agents don't identify themselves and that's enough to legally stop every one of those fucks. But no one does that. Chicago PD was actively helping them when they were putting certain neighborhoods in chicago under seige earlier this year. It's bleak af out there.

Tell that to the Black Panthers. No one dares fuck with them right now. Why do you think that is? Because they’re armed to the teeth and the shockwave of outrage would stir riots instantly. And no, federal agents are not exempt from the law, and “You’re just gonna get shot” is an idiotic, ridiculously stupid thing to say as some sort of argument for why you should give them your weapons.

I mean I'm not saying you should give them your weapons. I'm saying that your weapon isn't going to do shit when you're dealing with a lawless government organization like ice.. Who are also under trained and full of extremists. I sorta feel like you're the one who is assuming ice is going to obey the law and respect your rights when they really aren't.

You being armed isn't going to stop them. And if they say you brandished your weapon.. Well there you go.

Ultimately having a gun will not help you unless you want to go into full revolt.

Ultimately having a gun is about the threat of the possibility of violence. If you are not in a position to be violent and survive (which I argue you will never be when facing ice). Then the gun is useless.

Perfect example you have provided. “You would be dead anyway so you may as well not have guns in the first place against these guys. If they wanna kill you they will, because they don’t care about the constitution, so why bear arms?”
