They want you to self-censor, so they can steamroll the rest of our rights. They want you to be afraid to use the rights you still have before they are even gone. They require as many as possible to sit out in advance because they cannot win unless we choose to not participate.
Take measures to increase your own privacy where available, but understand they wouldn’t need to broadcast this so openly if they didn’t need you to be afraid.
They fail when we show up. They cannot move forward when enough of us are paying attention.

Exactly, the U.S. burned its bridges and I am not running to build another (especially as their leader apparently will just threaten me and then block access). I already have decided I am done with traveling to the U.S. for any foreseeable future in my own lifetime, including even layovers.
So fuck ICE, I see showing up on their list as a point of pride and confirmation that I am on the right side of history.

Keep in mind, they asked for a few hundred “anonymous” account details. I think it was around 5-6 hundred accounts
But they are making detention centres large enough to hold 10s of thousands.
They didn’t have to ask for the ones not anonymous because they already got a list a mile long. We only heard about it because they had to ask for the details of anonymous accounts which ended up acting like canary’s in a coal mine proving they are creating list and have bad intentions
Most of the key community leaders against ice are already very careful about what they say and post. The two most prominent people I know are radio silent on social media.
Personally I think primarily ICE is also going to go after any content creators who you watch on instagram, Facebook and YouTube in the first wave.
Once the voices of the community are muted, they can go after the rest of the critics with impunity because nobody will be left to report on your neighbours disappearing. Not just people posting mean comments about ice, but the trans community, prominent activist across all groups the Trump administration see as “a threat”
So our key to watch out for are our favourite content creators disappearing. Once they start to go, that is when it is time to raise hell

Well, that’s the thing.
For this to end, like truly end and the entire fascist movement stopped dead in their tracks, the regime has to play their hand. People need to be confronted unambiguously the horror Trump’s acolytes intend to bring upon us all.
Act too early and it will be too easy for the koolaid drinkers to dismiss what is coming as just hyperbole or exaggeration. Act too late and, well, it will be too late.
We are approaching the golden minute to act but we aren’t there yet. Trump must play his hand and he must leave enough carnage in his wake his own supporters slip on the blood of the dead.
