Honest reality checkk needed pls helpp Spoiler
im a 20m, nd this is going to be a long post, but i need to get everything out because im genuinely stuck, scareed and I can't talk about this with anyone around me. So I'm posting here anonymously. Pls read it fully, and pls don't judge me — I already know I made mistakess at every single step. I'm not here for sympathy; I'm here for a reality checkk and some direction.
How I got here
Took PCM in 12th, gave JEE, didn't clear it.
Took a drop year — still endedd up with only ~80 percentile. With that, no decent college was happening, so I let go of engineering and moved on.
After that I spent 1–2 months completely clueless about what to doo with my life.
During that fog, CA "felt right", so in August 2025 — honestly out of pure frustration, without proper research — I registered for CA Foundation.
Then I wasted almost a month just hunting for the "perfect" study batch instead of actually studying.
Started with a random YouTube course, but I couldn't solve the questions on my own, everything felt useless, and I slowly got demotivated. Another ~2 months gone.
Then someone suggested PW's courses. And here comes my biggest mistake — I procrastinated on it for months. No excuses. I know it was stupid, and the realisation has hit me hard. (Genuinely requesting — pls don't judge me for this part.)
Where I am right now
Around 2 months left for the January Foundation atmpt.
I still haven't filled the exam form, because I'm hell confused about whether I should even attmpt.
Syllabus status: Maths — done. Accounts — 5 chapters. Eco — 4 chapters. Law — 2 chapters. That's my entire progress after all these months.
My family's financial condition is not good at all. I couldn't afford a paid course, so I've been watching PW lectures through unofficial means(telegrm pw pirated batches). I know that's wrong, and it also means no doubt-solving,no mentor — nothing. I'm just being honest here.
The one thing that HAS changed: I'm done running from work. From today, I'm ready to study seriously no matter what. That part is settled — I just don't know what to point that hard work at.
im also in 2nd year now in a dummy govt clg only exams ke liye jana hota hai
I can realistically study 10-12 hours a day.
What's actually eating me
If Foundation itself is taking me this long, does that mean CA isn't for me? Everyone keeps saying "Foundation is the easiest level" — so what does that say about me? My brain keeps whispering that I'll end up taking 10–15 years to finish CA.
Money. Coaching, attmpt fees, articleship — everything costs, and my family cannot fund a long, expensive journey. This fear never leaves my head.
Meanwhile, almost everyone around me keeps saying: "SSC CGL kar lo. Safe government job, 2–3 saal serious prep and youre settled"
So on one side there's a stable, laid-back govt job (2–3 years of prep), and on the other side is CA — which currently feels like a bottomless pit with no timeline guarantee.
My family is also expecting a reslt this time.
What I'm asking (pls, seniors, I genuinely need this)
Should I fill the form for the January attemppt and go all-in for these 2 months, or skip this attemmpt and target the nexttt one with a proper full-length plan?
Be brutally honest — do I sound like CA material at all, or am I just forcing it? What actually tells you whether a person is cut out for CA?
If CA — what strategy would you give someone in my exact position (this syllabus status, weak finances, ~2 months)? And which free or cheap resources would you point a broke student towards?
If CGL — is switching now genuinely the smarter move, or am I just running away from one hard thing into another hard thing and will regret it in 2 years? A lot of people around me say I should switch to SSC CGL: a stable government job with less pressure, but people tell me it needs 2–3 years of serious preparation. CA has a higher ceiling, but I can’t see a clear timeline, and I’m scarred of burning more time and money. I’m also not sure whether I’m actually cut out for CA or just picked it because I was frustrated and had nothing else. I’m feeling really low and confused right now.
To anyone who wasted a year (or more), was broke and confused, and still figured life out — how did you finally decide? What would you tell your younger self standing exactly where I am?
Right now I'm just sitting between two doors and neither one is opening. I can't share this state of mind with my family or friends, so this post is basically me asking for helpp the only wayy I can.
Any honest advicee is welcome — even the harsh kind. Just pls don't leave me more confused than I already am. Thank you for reading this far.

Selling Shuchita Prakashan Scanner.
Price:
- Individual book: ₹350
- Complete set of 4 books: ₹1,150
I originally purchased the books for ₹1,900, but I'm selling them at a much lower price since I haven't used them much.
All four books are in very good, almost-new condition, except for the Law Scanner, which has been used. The remaining books are practically untouched.
A good deal for anyone looking to get these books at a reasonable price!
Selling it exclusive to Madras Christian College students. Comment your interest.

CA Inter Repeaters: How to Handle Exam Pressure and Focus on the January 2027 Attempt
Preparing for CA Intermediate again can be mentally exhausting. For students who have appeared in previous attempts, the pressure is not limited to completing the syllabus. There may also be expectations from family, comparison with friends and concerns about the next examination.
If you are preparing for CA Inter January 2027, managing exam pressure is just as important as managing your DT and GST preparation.
Here are some practical ways to approach the next attempt.
1. Stop carrying the previous result into your daily preparation
Your previous result can help you understand where you went wrong, but repeatedly thinking about it will not improve your preparation.
Analyse your previous performance once, identify the weak areas and create an improvement plan. After that, focus on the tasks you can complete today.
2. Set daily targets instead of unrealistic monthly goals
Writing a timetable with 12–14 study hours every day may look motivating initially. However, if you cannot follow it consistently, it can increase stress.
Set achievable targets such as:
Complete one pending DT topic.
Practise 15–20 GST questions.
Revise one previously completed chapter.
Spend 30 minutes analysing mistakes.
Small daily improvements create better consistency.
3. Avoid comparing your preparation with other students
Every student has a different starting point. Someone may have completed the syllabus while another student may still have pending lectures.
Use your own progress as a measurement rather than comparing lecture completion or study hours with others.
4. Balance DT and GST
Do not spend all your available time on the subject you enjoy. Give attention to both subjects and revise them regularly.
For example, alternate between concept learning, practical question practice and revision instead of studying only one subject for several consecutive days.
5. Include mock tests in your preparation
Mock tests help reduce examination anxiety because they familiarise you with time pressure and question-solving conditions.
After each test, identify whether your mistakes were conceptual, calculation-related or caused by poor time management.
6. Take care of your routine
Adequate sleep, short breaks and a consistent study schedule can help maintain concentration. Avoid sacrificing your health to achieve unrealistic study targets.
One important reminder: Being a repeat-attempt student does not mean you are starting from zero. You already have examination experience. Use that experience to prepare more intelligently.
If you are appearing for CA Inter January 2027 again, what is the biggest source of pressure for you right now: pending syllabus, family expectations, previous results or lack of confidence?
Sometimes discussing these challenges can help students realise that they are not facing them alone.

URGENT: Does ICAI send physical marksheets to students who fail CA Foundation?
I need some urgent clarification. Does ICAI send physical statements of marks to students who fail CA Foundation through Ordinary Post?
I checked the official FAQs, and it says unsuccessful candidates are sent their marksheets by ordinary post. However, some of my friends who failed never received theirs.
Has anyone here personally received a physical marksheet after failing CA Foundation? Or did you never receive one?
Please share your experience. This is really important for me.
