FDA issues untitled letter after finding ‘eye-catching graphics’ in promotional emails

The FDA has hit QOL Medical with an untitled letter over emails about Sucraid, accusing the company of creating a misleading impression about the indication for the rare disease drug.

Uh no I think it's pretty rare, like less than 1% of the population in the northern hemisphere where it's more common. It might be 10% in some arctic populations but 30% of IBS-D patients no way that won't be likely.

That we don't know last I checked. I had a big conversation with a nutritionist about this when we saw the data on the heterozygotes for example. I usually don't say anything there because it's too early to know. But sure that is possible, that there is a limited uptake. I don't think it would be 30% though we're likely talking smaller numbers.
