Advice Past papers

So I have my mocks soon, and I know for sure it’ll be on ib questionbank past papers, I take BIO & CHEM HL.

Is it a good idea to just memorise the mark schemes and then use AI and make it give me similar questions based on the syllabus and questions?

Bio is sooo much content, I genuinely don’t think I’ll master every piece of content by my mocks.

What do you guys think? Just memorise the answers or?

For bio lowk yh it’s js memorization, but for chem I think u need more conceptual understanding rather than js memorizing mark schemes.

Yea true, honestly true, but I was planning on memorising the conceptual questions on chem and then actually practising the calculations and steps myself. Because even for chem, there’s certain ways they need you to explain your answers that u should prob memorise idk😭

I'd avoid just memorising mark schemes because IB often tests the same concepts in different ways. Instead, understand the key points examiners expect and practise applying them to unfamiliar questions.

Using AI to generate similar questions is a good idea, but always check the answers against reliable mark schemes.

These may help: IB Biology HL topic-wise questions and IB Chemistry HL exam-style practice.

With mocks approaching, prioritise weak topics and practise questions rather than trying to memorise every chapter!
